If I bought Fat Princess on PSN...

Archive: 31 posts

...what should I do with the other $5 I'll have left over from the PSN card? I don't have a credit card, so I have to use those, and I plan on just buying a $20 one cos I don't really need $50. The problem is Fat Princess is $15 instead of 10, so I'm not sure what I should do with the other $5 I'll have left over. I was thinking maybe getting a costume pack or something, but I'm not sure.

I'm open to any and all suggestions. (Also, I hope this is the right place.)

I will have $20 once I buy the PSN card. I haven't yet, and once I do I still need my dad to put the money actually in the account (having a sub-account kinda sucks) so it probably won't be for another couple of days.2009-08-21 17:44:00

Yeah, I agree with Dex.
Post a list that you'd like and I'll make a suggestion.

The History and Monsters pack are good.

Give it to me, and don't say a word.

But in seriousness, I'd say buy a add-on in LBP. I suggest Street Fighter, but... It's old, (alot of people hate old things) and is $6...

Well, I was looking at either the two new packs (Monsters and History, though probably not the costumes) or either the Norse of Egyptian costumes. The thing is the Egyptian costumes don't look very good from what I can see in the small picture thing, so they're very likely out.2009-08-21 21:42:00

It's a choice between the Monster and History pack then.

Look for some videos, images or levels on LBP that show you what's in those packs and decide which one you'd find most useful

They're both great packs, it's up to you to decide which one you prefer.

Personally i prefer the History pack because i love the new music and materials

Aw, no Viking costumes for Dexiro? I thought those looked pretty sweet, honestly.2009-08-21 21:56:00

I'd get Noby Noby Boy. It's a great way to waste a couple (hundred) hours of your life. If you're me, at least. 2009-08-21 21:58:00

Yes, it's five dollars, but I wouldn't even call it a game. There are no set objectives, you do what you want, though the general goal is to cooperate with other players all around the world in helping GIRL grow to reach other planets, which unlock new levels for every person playing simultaneously.

Do not get me started on Noby Noby xD

I loved that game for about 2 days after it's release and then that slowly turned into hate.
Seriously there are so many things that the developer has done that just makes me facepalm :/
Don't waste your time on it anyway

Oh and i wouldn't recommend you buying any packs other than Mgs, Monster and History
If you have money to spare and you really want a costume then go for it, but if you're finding it hard to make a decision it's a lot safer to go with something more fulfilling.

If the Monster and History pack aren't of any interest maybe look for some cheap game

Or if you're big on costumes then why not? xD

(I'm from the uk so i'm not entirely sure how much $5 can buy)

Well, let me put it in perspective for you, Dex. Fat Princess is $15, like I said. The Norse and Egyptian costume packs are $4. I can't remember off the top of my head how much the History and Monster packs are, but I think they're $5. The MGS pack is like $7 or $8, I think. I need to check some of those prices again to make sure.2009-08-22 16:07:00

I'm gonna sneak onto the us store and see what i can find for $5

Hmm only things i can find worth recommending are the History and Monster pack.
Unless you really really like costumes then you'll get the most from them.

So if you like costumes then Norse/Egypt pack.
If you like creating then History/Monster pack.

You do that, Dex. Quick question, though. Does the history pack have a new background like the monsters back does? Cos that just might be a deciding factor, here.2009-08-22 16:46:00

If it helps i think the Monsters background is much better than the History pack background

The Monster background is this cave thing, i use it all the time just as a default theme now

With the History pack you get this weird cross-section of a church and i really can't imagine any levels that it would go well with.

Water is part of a creator pack, so I'd say it will be free, no free DLC in a while, and no point in charging for a tool.2009-08-22 22:49:00

Well, they charged for the use of the paintinator found in the MGS pack. Although anyone can access it while playing other people's levels, only those who have the MGS pack are able to use it in create mode.

Well, didn't they charge it because of use of ANOTHER game?

I think Mm had to pay Konami for usage of their characters and such in theirs.

That may have been a factor, but I think the main reason they charged was because of how much time, effort, and manpower it took to complete it. Water seems like an even bigger deal, so it seems fairly likely that they would charge for it, royalties to pay or not.
