LBP comic book theatre

LBP comic book theatresquirlin
If I was known for anything on LBP I would say it was for these levels. The theatre was originally created to fight back for a stolen level but that situation is resolved and in the past. Since then I have used the theatre construct for numerous and varied levels. No less than four of them now are a linked storyline about some Sack-folks I made up. Lots of folk seem to want a fifth so I've been tinkering away at one. The Elephant project is probably the silliest of the comic theatres so be warned.

So I've attatched here are some pictures taken from my various comic theatres. I think I have 7 levels up now using the theatre construct. Its important to know that some of the levels may not behave properly if you have more than 1 player, and that they aren't your typical platformer or side-scrolling levels so much as they are what the title suggests, a comic book.

Again I'll point out that if you play the original level- "the true adventure of squirlin" that there is no bad blood there, the LBP community responded strongly and I thank them for it. It remains published still because i'm rather proud of it and perhaps it makes other con-men of lbp think twice, or shows other victims with stolen levels that they can do something about it.

Yay! These levels are finally suggested for reviews!

First of all, let me just say that I am a fan of your levels (of course, you have many but I just like to clarify that I am one as well ). These levels all contain one thing that I adore entirely in LBP: a good story (well, for most of them, anywho). I just find the story so charming and comical, albeit with some colorful language. The way they're presented fit so well with the theatre-style sitiation. So well that I'm inspired to make my own. Sure, gameplay may be absent, but the story/idea and sheer wit in each level gladly make up for it. I expect to see great things come out of your levels, and I think I've been playing LittleBIGPlanet long enough to extinguish the difference between a good and a bad level.

Overall, I'd rate the WHOLE series 5/5, and give you a <3. Hopefully, that 5th level will come into view soon, since I know how ravenous the fans can be...

Yeah, I remember playing that Steve level, and the elephant rating brought a smile to my face. I'd elephant rate more myself but seeing as I made that level, I think it would be a little too self-serving if I went around stamping elephants on everbody's levels. I remember your tribute level demonstrated that you have an amount of creation skill of your own, and I remember feeling bad that an LBP buddy of mine was using your level to draw attention my way.2009-08-21 20:54:00

hey squirlin i have to say this is what you are best known for even though your art has gotten around out i don't think you'll ever be able to brake free from this creation all in all they're great levels and nice story lines.

One of my friends has recently taken me on a tour of all those comic book theatre levels and really liked the way it was set I see why afterwards my friend showed me them all because my levels are more story based
Although it gave me inspiration to try and make one of my levels kinda tell the story that way since one of my levels is more story than anything else I have found it exceedingly hard to actually do so I'll probably give up on that one
Excellent work it's nice to see something more story based
