I was about to Recommend this level, but I found that you already posted this level.

I liked this level, the beginning was a bit dull for me, bet then it got better and better. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish this level, I had request that I join a friend, so I clicked yes, but that's because I quickly read it and I thought it said that he wanted to join me.

Overall, great level, I think I'll try to complete it later.

*5 Stars* - "Brilliant" Tag - Hearted you and the level

I had some suggestions at first, but the more I played this level the more I realized that this level clearly stands out among the rest. From the moment I started the level I was impressed by the design of everything. There was one moment in the level that actually made me say something I've never said before - and I'm not sure why it came out this way but - I said, "holy flippin' junk!" In other words, "WOW"!!!!! It was the part with the huge beams that you have to run across other wise you get smashed. So yeah, I really don't have a lot to say because this level was just that good! Great 'flippin' job! lol

One suggestion - and I even hesitate to say it - you might want to consider changing the Title. I don't know what you'd change it to, but I don't think it does your level justice.

Also, please try my newest level, "Real Myst: Channelwood Age." It's based off of the 1993 PC game, MYST. It certainly doesn't compare to your level, but I still think you might like it. I also made a complete walk through on this website in case people need it. Thanks! and again - nicely done!

Wow - the Irish talent just comes out swinging from the get go don't they! lol

Really enjoyed this level. I went into it not exactly knowing what to expect. The name is a bit generic but it's not a big deal imo.

There are a lot of things I really liked.
+ Great material usage and nicely layered to make patterns and textures
+ Really fun platforming and some new stuff I hadn't seen before
+ Nice lighting technique where you head outside - like going inside after being outside in the glaring sun - takes your eyes a bit to adjust - nicely subtle.
+ Neat audio puzzle
+ Gotta love a level that ends with a bang.

Overall I found it fun and entertaining and the only little nitpick I could make is that the lighting is a little flat in the cave but that's just a personal preference and it still looks very nice. I gave it 5 stars and hearted it! Thanks for sharing it!

Saw this one on Morgana's hearted list and remembered the thread so I gave it a run through. And I was very glad I did. Lots of innoavtive platforming mixed with some lovely visuals.
Great uses of light too. Even a little bit of light coming down from the roof of a cave - just superbly done and something many excellent creators miss out on. I think you had the technique nailed in this level.
A few challegens were ripped from story mode, but at least you changed the materials and put them in a good place - so not a lot wrong with that.
The ending was very Geosautus-esque. In fact a lot of the level reminded me of Geo. Not a badthings, I'm just point out you have a similar visual style. You've sort of mashed up his ruby and factory levels.

Very well done, fun level - five stars and a heart

I really enjoyed this level. The visuals were very well done and I found the puzzles and platforming to be pretty varied throughout the level. Like Morgana, I loved the musical puzzle and the ending. Very cool!

I did have a few issues though. I found the race through the rolling rocks was a bit frustrating because of the camera angle. It was hard to tell when to switch layers. I also had a hard time with the mine cart section, because the carts are filled with rocks which make it hard to jump correctly.

Other than those two issues, I had a lot of fun! Nice job!

Wonderful level!
It completely went under my radar before getting spotlighted.
This happens even because
"There has been a rumour of a ruin hidden deep in the forest.. but nobody seems to know where. Could you be the first one to find it?"
doesn't persuade to play a level
Anyway I enjoyed it a lot.
5 stars and heart.

No wonder this level has been spotlighted. truly magnificent work! You managed to perfectly blend a great scenario with puzzles and platforming. I was also amazed by the length of it (that's what she said..lol) I was expecting this level to be a little short because of the great amount of detail, but somehow turned out to be pretty long. You've also mastered the use of the 3 layers sometimes using them for decoration and then transitioning to gameplay. What I enjoyed the most was the entire scenery. I liked how you used different materials to give the effect of grass growing on rock. Very nice.
The only section I had trouble with was the part with the carts. I found it extremely hard until I noticed that you could actually grab the hanging lamps... I felt kinda dumb.. I couldn't really find anything wrong with the level, so good work. Keep it up.

Let me know what you think of mine, it's also spotlighted.
Congratulations!

Thanks for all your feedback. (:
Regarding the bolder camera majiger I'll try to edit it In a much more easier way to see.

And sorry bout the description.. Never hire me to advertise anything, I'm really bad at it. Lol.

I'll check out your level soon javi, it looks really good but unfourtunately my teachers are swamping me with "the horrors of the junior cert." And the homework is really awful.

Easily deserved the spotlight

I enjoyed this level from start to finish.
Visuals were top notch. Great variety of gameplay. Some intriguing moments.
the song puzzle I loved. I played in 4 player and everyone stood around with? over their head while I got it right on my first go. Awesome level

I actually found myself thinking..."I'm having a lot of fun playing this level."

That doesn't happen very often for me.

So kudos.

I could record it if you want me to.
I haven't got a Capture Card, but a nice little digicam. If you want to get a preview on what my videos look like quality-wise, here's one of my newest level:

Thanks, the quality is great .
If you wouldn't mind, it would also be great if you could record it.
Feel free to ask me anything in return if you want.

Ok, I've recorded a 9:55 Walkthrough of your level. Some stupid cases of sudden death and one little where-to-go-where-to-go, but all in all, I'd call it a solid playthrough.

I've got the high quality .mov file here. Size: 308MB.
I'm quite experienced at converting with low quality loss, so if you need a certain file format, let me know. I'd need to know the resolution you want (original 848x480, best is to preserve res). I can split it up into a multi-part zip or rar archive if you want the raw file (which I'd recommend).

Just let me know

I can ask you anything in return, you say? Well.. *evil laughter*... how about a... BANANA?
No, I've got enough fruit here. You could just play some of my levels if you want to. There's no obligation of any kind. Feedback on my newest creation, Bubble Caves, is always appreciated of course

Yipee! Thanks for filming it.
I'd go for whatever you'd reccommend. Since I know zilch about the subject.

I'll give feedback on your level because you've been so helpful, and who knows? You might even get a FREE banana basket to hold your bananas in.
Thanks again.

Oh and one more thing, did you enjoy the level?

Oh noez, I completely forgot to post my feedback!

I loved your level. Some of your obstacles were really original, like the spiked floors which lift you up to the next level. The overall atmosphere was quite dense, and I guess you've got the maximum out of the thermo. I know that creating such a lengthy level with a throughout consistant atmosphere isn't easy, and you've done a great job accomplishing that.

There were a few instances where you just had to walk for a few seconds, but they came in such rare occasions that I wouldn't really count them as cons.

Overall, a great platformer with quite some original elements and nice visuals. Gave it 5 stars and hearted it.

As for the video, I'm just gonna split it up and send you the raw-file. It's big, but it's the best you can get. Gonna PM you with the links as soon as I've finished uploading.

This is definitely still my favorite level of yours. Do you think you'll make others similar to this style? Although, the one you're working on now has promise! Oh and, welcome to the cool levels page ... it's been a long time coming 2009-10-27 23:26:00

Thanks Powershifter.
I hopefully will make another that's sort of similar..
But if you like this level I'd recommend checking out Geosautus's levels.
Scary Factory overlooking the small village is my favourite level of all time, for good reason.

Woo! Cool pages.

I've updated it again, this time I think it's unbreakable. If someone can prove me wrong please do. I spent alot of time on it, the most annoying bit was when the carts wouldn't work. But it's fini! 2010-04-11 19:46:00
