Hey guys. For those of you who don't know, I've been working on something for the past couple of days that has required most of my attention. I can't delve into exactly what I'm working on just yet, but you'll see soon enough. Anyway, on with the contest: What I'm working on requires banners, which are long images that normally sit at the top of a website(not this site, so calm down). I've made 10 so far, but I would love to have as many as possible. Here's my task to you: Take this template (http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/4110/bannertemplatewxh970x18uh4.png)(right click, save as), open it up in your favorite image editor, and fill it with something LittleBigPlanet related. There's an example at the bottom of this post, so you can see what I am looking for. There are a couple of rules, rules you must follow to be considered: The banner must retain the template's exact size (970px wide by 180px tall). No text in the banner. The image must be in .jpg or .png format. You are free to submit as many entries as you like. For each banner that I choose to use, you will recieve 100xp. I will let you know in a PM which ones I chose, so you know how many points you'll recieve. Here's an example banner that I would accept: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/4112/banner2ir4.jpg

I'd like to know what this is for Maybe at least a hint! I don't like submitting stuff without having an idea of what it's going to be used for... Is it for this site in general... Will it be shown alot... Is it for personal use... Thanks if you can answer some of these questions!

Gah! Finally... '>_< I did two variations, but to make one work I had to make it as a PNG, otherwise the tape wouldn't look like it's sticking to the background. Even though the rules say only .JPG, I think you should reconsider. >_> You judge... I think it's a shame the logo's allowed - inspires more creativity if we have to do it just with images. To be honest, I agree, but it's not that big of a deal. I wanted to make sure it's open ended so I get more submissions. Does this round of the caption contest get announced today? This is an ongoing contest, and I award people as soon as I choose one of their banners. I'm going to try to pick a couple more later today.

LittleBigCreation seems to me like it may pick up more near or after launch date. Although it's already very easy for us to share anything here, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. (Oh and yay, one of my banners is up there )

Which program do you guys use to make this kind of stuf??? I realize that it is just copying some stuf from the internet and pasting it together but I wouldn't know how to do this so precise. When I try to do this I do it in paint but the edges turn out to be real sharp instead of smooth

GIMP is a free photo editing program, so getting it off of a good Google search won't be hard at all. Try it out.
