Does anyone else get, like, SEVERE lag problems online?

So I usually don't play LBP online a lot, but recently a friend of mine got the game. We tried playing a few maps, but there was so much lag it was pretty much unplayable. We both tried playing in online games separatly from each other with different hosts and we still encountered lag. I haven't had this problem with any other PSN game or with any xbox live game. I've heard that the game is generally laggy online, but again, I haven't had much experience in the LBP online category. Anyone else experience this?2009-08-20 05:52:00

All the time, half of the time it's unplayable.

I also have trouble connecting to hosts.. but it seems kind of hit and miss. Some people have no problems at all.		2009-08-20 06:00:00

The best solution is to invite your friends over, tell them to bring their controller and play online levels by clicking on "Play on our Own".

lol @ snoyjoe. This is actually what I do, normally on a firday / saturday night after getting drunk

But yeah, you need to appreciate the sheer quantity of data that has to passed between the players. Everything that moves has to be synched between units otherwise you would get completely different physical outcomes. No other game has anything of the sort to contend with. I find it amazing that online play is possible at all.		2009-08-20 09:57:00
