how bout a Melee Zone?

so for the tool, you place it in the center of the area which you want to designate as a melee zone, and tweek it to make the zone larger or smaller.

once in the zone, pressing Triangle on the controller will have Sackboy swing his arm as a punch. If you are holding something with R1, Sackboy will swing that.

This can open up the possibility of super smash bros style levels, as well as include throwing objects

Cool idea, but LittleBigPlanet isn't a very violent game, is it? It kinda collides with the 'friendliness' of the game.2009-08-20 06:19:00

Sorry but that's a terrible idea

For a start it's waaay too violent for LBP, and neither is it meant to be a fighting game.

And how could 2 people fighting add anything to the game other than more pointless "fight your best friend!" levels.
Considering how difficult this would be for Mm to make it's definatly not worth it.

but those games are about fighting, LittleBigPlanet isn't.

If that's what you're looking for, go play Super smash bros. Melee or Brawl If you want the awesome fun platforming and adventuring, or endless styles of gameplay that lbp offers (Not to mention all the level creating which is such a big aspect of the game) the game is just fine how it is. This wouldn't really add anything and is just plain unnecessary / doesn't fit with the gameplay. This idea... well, I have to be blunt, it kinda fails '^^2009-08-22 16:47:00

I think it would have a bit of potential, especially swinging objects around would have potential, but in the end, I just think this idea wouldn't really be good in LBP. LBP isn't exactly a fighting game, and it would just lead to a load of cheap, poorly-designed fighting levels being stuck on the Cool Levels, and I already get mad at seeing loads of Jump survival and Bomb survival levels there.2009-08-22 22:09:00
