Hope this wasn't already posted... PS3fanboy (http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/09/11/littlebigplanet-beta-will-possibly-be-announced-on-official-news/) Late last week, a community manager at the PlayStation.com forums indicated that there will be a "limited public beta" for LittleBigPlanet. He didn't tell us how we are going to get in, but we may now have a clue. We noticed that the above Google ad for LBP states the following: "New Playstation 3 Game - LittleBigPlanet.us.PlayStation.com - LittleBigPlanet. Play. Create. Share. Sign up for the beta now!" Where does the advertisement lead us? To the official LittleBigPlanet news site. We didn't see anything about signing up for the beta, but does this mean we'll be able to on the news site at some point? You know you'll hear about it from us as soon as anything is announced, so stay tuned!

Lol, it makes me laugh on the MM website where you have all these little kids going "omfg giv me de beta plz i wil do gd 4 u cz i cn do glitchs nd stuff nd tht maks me gd at betas bcz i kno how glthces wrk so i can fnd thm fr u", where one of the requirements for a Beta Tester is "Speak fluent English", which they're hardly showing by typing like that lol. ALSO. All the beggers drive me nuts O_O "Can I be in the Beta plz?!?!?!?!" "Omg i better get in the beta".. Just let it happen, chances are begging will get you nowhere >.< [/rant]

the program that was seen and captured in the photo on ps3fanboy was Google's AdSense (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adsense) within Gmail. what AdSense does is take words that are on the page you are viewing and (tries) to make it into a (somewhat) sensible sales pitch. I've seen it mangle them many a time (Best prices on RAVES on eBay!). and I believe people are jumping the gun a little too early.

ok i have something to say about the beta. You will benefit either way. If you get in, slim chance, and think that the beta might already be out in Manchester because they are dedicating like 25 days to little big planet where anybody can just come in and play. If this is only part of it and they are still doing another part of the beta then you will be lucky to get in and you will get to mess around with it but you will be playing a beta so it will not be the final game and it will not be perfect as we hope it will be on release. If you do not get in then there will be a flood of cool LBP videos and tutorials for you to watch that people will post and if there are lots of tutorials then you can hit the ground running and will get to play the completely revised version of the game so it will be everything that MM wants it to be (at least we hope) those are my 2 cents Cheers!

The Beta adds nothing to the experience of receiving the final game. I'll wait till release like a good little 'Happy gadder' (ooooooooh) i completely agree, and i even look away during some vids when it shows you all the menus, because i wanna figure out stuff and learn it for myself! if i learn how to do everything now, and then have everything ready so when i start playing i can get right into it... what fun would it be? besides it's like not even a month away from full release.. what's the point of releasing a beta? the game will be in your hands in like 35 days!
