you PS3 goes kaboom.

But i don't think the laws of the electricity and fire will apply to this scenario just cause of the sole fact if this does happen you can't make any lethal objects underwater besides gas

I've been wondering this too

Guess we will have to wait to find out

What if you have a lethal material above water and the water level rises above the lethal ????
Suppose it could just de-lethalise

Did you see that scene in Watchmen? nevermind.

Good question. I'm guessing JKthree is correct in this. We'll have to wait and see.

Underwater fire makes almost no sense at all (OK thermite but do you really wanna look that deep into it?), and electricity is an interesting one - it's an established gameplay device in quite a few other games that something electric, in water, makes the entire body of water electric.

Now I doubt this will be the case because the entire body of water encompasses the entire level and it would be too difficult to manage all of the hazards in your level so that raising / lowering level doesn't screw up. It would make the water tool very hard to use for the casual creator.

You sure about this?
I was thinking just choosing an amount of water and dropping it into the world and have gravity do it's work.
Which would probably more productable. It would be annoying if you had to go down to Sea Level just so you can make a pond >.<

Anyway, I don't know if the water would be deadly or not, but you probably can make it deadly by making a shallow surface and making it electric. (if they allow that)
Like that scene with the Shark Sack on shallow waters. Making the surface electric would surly kill the poor shark sack.

So you'll need some trickery to get your pond, but it is possible. it's a little more fun this way, working out the smoke and mirrors required for varying height bodies of water.2009-08-20 10:08:00

if you can't just put the water in a an area to slose of the water e.g a bucket i don't feel that water will help gameplay.2009-08-20 10:16:00

I've been thinking... you know in the Monster Kit cave background? Along the bottom there's some bits of water. I think this is the only part of any background that goes below floor level. Could it be that that will end up the default height for the water level, and you raise it higher if you want to use it?2009-08-20 10:59:00

I think it starts off with none at all.

i think making water lethatl will be just the same as trying to make gas in the thin layer. but underwater, thats diffrent. because dont forget we can use spikes too.2009-08-27 15:10:00
