This is easily only one of the best games available on PSN, not to mention one the best brick-breakers ever. It's received glowing reviews across the board and while there's little retail value, the soundtrack (http://sidhe.bandcamp.com/) alone is worth $7.99.

So what are you waiting for? Buy this game!

I've played a LOT of 'brick breaker' games and this is definatly one of the best, but it seemed as though it was missing a lot.

There didn't seem to be enough different power-ups or brick types, it's just seems like the same bricks in different patterns.
Oh and the game should of been 2-3 times longer, most similar games that i play have like 200-300 levels WITH a level editor so people can share their own levels (called 'Ricochet Infinity' if anyone wants to check it out).

The bosses were brilliant though, i'd of loved to see more of them

I got a video I made a while ago on my getting the hardest trophy "The Boss" (Beat boss rush in under 10 minutes)

Sorry about the sound, you'll have to turn the volume WAY up to hear.

Isn't the hardest trophy the Master Batter one?

Master Batter is too easy. Alll you have to do is take your time, use one ball at a time, and keep the wind blowing so you don't lose said ball, rinse and repeat till you beat the game, only tough moments would be facing the bosses for the 1st time.

The Boss is completly different cause luck plays a huge factor in trying to get it under 10 minutes

I've just redownloaded Ricochet Infinity, and i can easily say it's 10x better than Shatter

Shatter is still a fun game, but the Ricochet games have SOO much more in addition to almost everything that Shatter has!
The only things that i haven't seen in Ricochet is the different field shapes, the brick physics and the bosses.

The guys who made Shatter really need to play that game and pick up some new ideas, those 2 games combined would be amazing

Wow, nice playing! I've not got the Boss Rush trophy yet - I can't do it in under ten minutes yet

I bought Shatter as well based on the positive reviews. I definitely had a good time playing through it, but as some others have said, I felt it was a bit short and lacking in variety. The bosses were definitely a cool touch - I refuse to go for that boss rush trophy after trying once and failing so spectacularly that I could only see pain and heartache in any future attempts.

Although, I have had Ricochet sitting in my Steam games for some time now, and I never even knew what it was. For some reason I thought it was a Tron clone or something. I'll have to give it a download.

I enjoy Magic Ball, another PSN game. It seems relatively similar, in that they are both brick breaker games, but the execution seems wildly different, with Magic Ball having more power ups and level variety/length while Shatter appears to give you better ball control and boss battles.

Has anyone tried both and have an opinion on the matter?

Elbee23, I've never tried Magic Ball, but I can almost guarantee you that Shatter has it beat in at least one department: soundtrack.2009-08-27 07:56:00
