LBP coming to Playstation Home!!! Finally! CONFIRMED: LBP Game Launching!
Archive: 49 posts
I'm surprised i'm the only one who noticed this. But look closely at the back of the Game of the Year edition at the top right corner. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3438/3828482219_8ec5d084fc.jpg Now why would you think they'd add Playstation Home there either that or they gonna taunt all the loyal fans even more with this by adding a sackboy home outfit to the GotY edition Please let it not be that and have it an LBP Home Space with Gamelaunching EDIT: It has been confirmed on the Playstation Blog, That universal Game Launching will be added to Home, So LBP will have Game Launching! Woot! Still crossing fingers for a future LBP space I got three words to start us off: Universal. Game. Launching. That?s right ? you can now launch into any PlayStation 3 game directly from Home. Titles that fully support game launching (like Street Fighter IV, Resistance 2, MotorStorm, and Far Cry 2) will be identified by separate icons that appear over an avatar?s head and will have varying degrees of additional multiplayer functionality built in. Simplified game launching will take you from Home to the start menu of your favorite games with ease. Never again will you have to sign out of Home to play with (or against) your friends. Simply insert the disc of your choice while in Home and follow the on screen directions and you?ll be good to go. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/08/19/playstation-home-v1-3-coming-this-september/ | 2009-08-18 02:38:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Nice catch, I don't read pictures off the internet, I'd like to see it full. I also would think it would be a lounge, and minigames. | 2009-08-18 02:40:00 Author: Unknown User |
Ooh! If they add a LBP Space on Home, I'll definitely have to take a look! I wonder how home could tie into LBP though... a 3D Social environment and 2.5D Game don't mix too well... | 2009-08-18 02:43:00 Author: goldenclaw13 Posts: 224 |

Well, they can make it all artsy, a Sackboy going around with an Ad for LBP. | 2009-08-18 03:22:00 Author: Ryutei Posts: 244 |
I bet it'll be like level looking. | 2009-08-18 03:23:00 Author: Unknown User |
Cool, with the big LBP fanbase, Home can surely take a leap forward. I don't care about Home, but since Sony makes quite some bucks with it, I'm happy. More money in Sony's pocket, more good games. | 2009-08-18 07:07:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

Home is the lamest online expierence ever but perhaps I will have to re-download this "thing" just to see the LBP room. | 2009-08-19 11:55:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Home is the lamest online expierence ever but perhaps I will have to re-download this "thing" just to see the LBP room. I tried home once and was quickly irked. Reminded me of a 3d version of the old Worlds Away (I think it was called that!) concept that CompuServe had waaaay back when. I really didn't really like that either! Just a bit weird. | 2009-08-19 15:25:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Me too Yarbone. I had it for a couple of days months ago but deleted it because it was so boring and clunky. This. Really lame, awkward experience. I never went back. | 2009-08-19 15:33:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Yeah, I deleted Home. Is it out of beta yet? | 2009-08-19 16:09:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Now if they completely revamped HOME and made the environment LBP "ish".. I could go for that. | 2009-08-19 16:37:00 Author: rz22g Posts: 340 |
meh, i don't really care about home <__> Same, if I get a keyboard, that'll change things all up. | 2009-08-19 16:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
Oh I have a keyboard, but Home still sucks. | 2009-08-19 16:48:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
I just never experienced using a keyboard.. | 2009-08-19 16:52:00 Author: Unknown User |
My home experience. I downloaded home. went online. created my character (male). walked about wonder what was I meant to be doing. tryed talking to a few people...... nothing...... edited my character to be a hot female..... had about 10 people following me about asking me questions........ left. deleted. never looked back. | 2009-08-19 16:57:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
The first and only time I used home, I was pestered by blokes constantly! Like flies round poo they were, it was totally embarrassing! Couldn't stand still for more than 10 seconds without getting surrounded lol. I thought at first perhaps they were just being friendly, but after creating a male character afterwards I was pretty much ignored. You funny boys! EDIT: Lol Wex! - I'm slow... | 2009-08-19 17:03:00 Author: Kiminski Posts: 545 |

LOL !!! Wex... you as a hot female? I am quite scared now!! The first and only time I used home, I was pestered by blokes constantly! Like flies round poo they were, it was totally embarrassing! Sorry Kiminski.. us males are a silly lot at times, especially the younger ones around females. LOL!! Though imagine my surprise as the first time I load up the silly thing I come in and found myself as a young female!! LOL !!! It really creeped me out!!!! That was the first AND last time I tried Home. | 2009-08-19 17:37:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
It never gets old walking around as a hot female avatar, let the desperate men/boys come, give em a couple of minutes to talk, then change into a fat ugly man avatar..watch them scatter, running as fast as they can as if they saw a ghost! | 2009-08-19 21:58:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |

Home is rubbish, also the areas for games are usually pretty boring, look at the ones already there like the far cry 2 one- it's all just scenery with nothing to interact with. I'll take a look at the LBP one anyway though. Nice find. | 2009-08-19 22:09:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Oh btw i dont see any home icon on the box. | 2009-08-19 22:11:00 Author: Adam9001 Posts: 744 |

Oh btw i dont see any home icon on the box. Its not on the one we have btw. Also, home is mostly for people who are willing to spend money on it apparently. Well, if you're with a gorup of people you know its actually not that bad you know? But if you're alone you'll just last a couple of mins. Unless you like the minigames in there, but the peak of it was Xi, after that... Mostly i'm just in the bowling area, don't know why, i just like bowling in home. | 2009-08-20 02:28:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Home is a bore for the most part and the framerate for it now can be so horrible it gives me a headache, but it does have potential and I like to play the chess, pool, and bowling occasionally. I use it about once a month to see what's new. Home hasn't quite found its hook yet, but a LBP space is a step in the right direction. Currently the only real way to find some cool people to play LBP with is on message boards. It's very difficult to do in the actual game since quickplay is a total nightmare. A space like this is another place to go to find players. Just think, dozens of "h4h" comments on your screen at the same time! | 2009-08-20 03:12:00 Author: Reef1978 Posts: 527 |

woah, lots of Home hate in this thread. it seems I'm one of the fewer that enjoys going on it with friends to do ssome stuff | 2009-08-20 13:32:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
They are all chavs on Home (no offence to anyone) No, chavs are from the UK only... right? I don't think you'll offend anyone anyway; chavs are too 'hardcore' (they would say) to play LBP. | 2009-08-20 13:49:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Game launching will be good for LBP because you can mmet new people easier and get an online game going easier. | 2009-08-25 11:46:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
LBP online is better then Playstation home Maybe i'll use it if lbp stuff appears in there | 2009-08-25 12:13:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
meh....PShome is alright i do agree there are pervs who swoop in and hit on the girl avatars....not me though since im grown and not desperate but for me i use HOME for the purpose it was made for: to be able to hang out with friends in your most favorite games....basically a good example would be all of us in a circle in the LBP space (if it launches) and having convos and game launching together....doesnt that sound like a good experience? its not HOME's fault that there are desperate kids in there trying to get laid.... so to me i love home...its FREE and i can talk to friends in BUZZ or go bowling or just walk around the mall with someone for giggles... so yeah idk about everyone else but it doesnt bother me as much | 2009-08-26 10:09:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Eh, Home is kind of an odd one to describe for me. I play around in it once in a while, just to wander around, but one thing i never got was the point of it. seriously, i don't think there is one. the "social scene" makes me want to pull some Luigi-esque stuff from Repo! the Genetic Opera. (yay obscure references!) and in the end, once you swear off interacting with the ...erm....people in it, its just a 'aimlessly wandering around' simulator. that said, I have spent a good 20 dollars on random crap for it, so there must be something to be said for wandering around wearing a shirt that has animated pixeljunk eden looking flowers growing on it. ...What was i talking about again? | 2009-09-01 06:21:00 Author: Memodrix Posts: 879 |
I like Home but it's not something you'd spend more than 10 minutes on. I just jump in to try out some new stuff, find a few new minigames, maybe spend 20 minutes on the Buzz minigame if i'm in the mood for it I wish it was made into more of an MMO type thing with it's own money system where you earn money to buy stuff by playing minigames. Maybe you could earn money on Home for each trophy you've collected too | 2009-09-01 12:19:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

Last edited by Memodrix. Reason: Grammer. See the mistake? Grammar? Grammer? I'm just picky. On topic: Meh. I'm sorta okay with Home. = Only used it a few times. i was a little dissapointed in home when the beta opened. i dont know, i was just expecting more. it's not bad, but its not that good either, haha. its whatever. | 2009-09-01 16:37:00 Author: Unreal_Styrofoam Posts: 99 |
The only fun I've had in fun is trolling online couples in my Cole McGrath costume I got from the InFamous demo. --- "I AM AN ELECTRIC GOD" *Does the Running Man* --- Yeah. It's THAT boring. | 2009-09-01 20:51:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
one thing i never got was the point of it. the point of it is to be able to chat with people in your favorite game worlds like infamous game space and more... its not HOME's fault that the place is full of virgins nonetheless i love home, especially being a Xi vet, playing the ESPN and BUZZ mini games, and just walking around with my cool vega mask also remember guys this is still in BETA, so once HOME is complete with the cool tv that lets me show my videos to my friends and such then you can say about how bad or good it is but in my opinion i wouldnt knock out HOME until you try it for the point it was made for...talking to friends in your favorite worlds i know i appreciate home for being able to talk to my friends who i cant call because of long distance issues...and it makes it more cool when we are talking in my batcave from arkhum asylum or in the bowling alley in the central plaza oh and if you dont like HOME still....do this for me....make a UK, JP, whatever different region account and play their HOME for a pleasing experience i played HOME in my japanese account and you wouldnt BELIEVE how beautiful their central plaza looks....makes me mad at HOME developers for not making an airport for us to travel to those places but yeah try it out | 2009-09-02 00:23:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Now that the GotY edition is officialy out. It kinda bothers me how Universal Game Launching still isn't ready for home (either that or its coming Thursday) with the hint on the back there and all, makes it sound like it was planned all this time. Also the fact that there was no mention of getting ready for UGL from the recent patch we got...(I thought that was the sole reason for 1.18) Oh well I'm still crossing my fingers on this. Who knows Thursday may be the big day! | 2009-09-09 07:26:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Home is the lamest online expierence ever but perhaps I will have to re-download this "thing" just to see the LBP room. Lame is probably the most accurate word you can use to describe it.. Well, without being censored that is | 2009-09-12 21:41:00 Author: Asbestos101 Posts: 1114 |
