Okay so I see this is a game lots of people mention left and right, and I keep hearing plenty of good things. Is it really that good, or is it just the PS3 Fanboy in you speaking? (I'm kidding, I'm KIDDING!!) Anyway, I'm downloading the demo right now... What sets it apart from other FPS though? :]

Yeah, it's a really good game. Online is what sets it apart... When I played it online it felt magical :hero: But it is only a launch title; so don't get your hopes up too high

I think it's the best ps3 shooter at the moment I agree with that, story is great especially if you like a female voice lol, and gameplay is exceptional. the graphics are great aswell even though it was a launch title like Creative said and also the fact that it was only made in one year!!! Its definantly in my top 5 PS3 games

I would have to say that the game is fun because of the different style in weapons, Insomanic loves to be creative there and this game does not change from there style. There are other games that may be slightly better, you can find stuff to not like but I think you just picking it apart too much. The game overall is good and unique, it mixed WW2 games with some SciFi stuff and made a new game that has not been done, it was one of the first games on the PS3 and so for that it was good. If you have seen the new stuff from Resistance 2 the game has really improved from that, the on-line is not the best of all time but still good for it's time and I like how the added clan support in it. I like the ranking system from on-line and it is cool how you keep unlocking new uniforms on-line. Is the game the best game ever, NO but it was really good for a first series of games on the PS3 and this is the one that stood out of the rest, and it is up on the top list of games out on the PS3. My suggestion is to rent it and at least play through the game and maybe not put the time in on-line since there is a new one coming out around the corner, but it is a good game.

Resistance was definately my favourite game before COD4. I was on it the day my mum got home from town with COD4. Good times.

It was free you can't go wrong with free. (Except Genji: DotB that was free and rubbish) ^^^ Agree with this. Genji was absolute crap. I liked it at first then it just got repetitive. Anyway Resistance. Great game. Original story and some of the best online play to boot. Again it is a launch title but it's still one of the best games online. Even though the new one is coming out, i think it is worth the time to play online. Not to be pessimistic but i have a horrible feeling that i might not like R2. I don't usually like sequel-ed games.
