LBP-remake of the famous flash game!
all
This is basicly a remake of the flash game http://www.helicoptergame.net/. I've tried to make my version as addicting as the flash game. Try it out and see for yourself!

Thanks for the link to the original game. I tried it, then tried your version. I like your version better!

okay, ready for some critique?

http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/swanbullets.jpg Way too short. I'm not sure how you are handling the scrolling, but if the case is that you ran out of play-space, why not have the path zig-zag up wards? When you reach the end of the space just go up and fly the next leg back-wards. I mean, it is a helicopter.

http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/swanbullets.jpg The camera mounted to the helicopter could be mounted behind the wall to a piston to move the view slowly back as you reach the end of the level so that you have less and less warning as you proceed.

http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/swanbullets.jpg I love the way sack-boy shakes and jitters when he gets into the helicopter. I don't know if that was intentional, but if not. don't fix it. it's great!

http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/swanbullets.jpg difficulty: While it's nice that the music finishes right at the end of the run, it's the only thing that seems to change as you progress. The difficulty seems to remain constant through the level.

http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/swanbullets.jpg The look of the level: I loved the helicopter, hated the obstacles. I understand that you are emulating the look of the flash game, but the flash game has terrible, crude graphics. Let a rocky out crop be a rocky outcrop or what-ever. Now is a great time to break out the corner editor and start crafting those ugly red blocks into something more interesting. then if you decide to expand your level, you'll have a library of terrain features to mix together for more flying pleasure.

Over-all I really like this level. Sadly, I rated it 3 stars because I feel it has much more potential. I am book-marking this thread so I can keep current on this level. It has alot of potential, so I hope you expand it!

Ironically, the level I would like you to look at in exchange will be of help to you with the look of your level:

thanks!

No. In fact it is pretty short since I hit the end of the level. I made a new version where the chopper is smaller and your sackboy is in a layer behind the background, but it turned out to be a problem magnet.
