An 80's Classic: Golden BrownA_Morton
The song 'Golden Brown' By The Strangles, LBP style! Extremely complex song, took a fair bit of effort to get it to sound how i wanted it to. Please listen and enjoy!

Here's a little taste incase you are unfamiliar with the song...

YouTube - Golden Brown, The Stranglers.

yeah, lots and lots of notes!

I saw The Stranglers play a live gig two days ago, i've always loved the song but didn't think it was possible to put into LBP....i stand corrected, by myself.

I know not everyone is a fan of 'Music Levels' but i would appreciate it if you gave my good effort a listen.

Thanks and peace!

First of all, there is nothing wrong with a music level every now and then. They clearly take a lot of work and a lot of time to build.

Writing reviews for musical levels is a bit tricky though. What can I really say? It sounded wonderful. It matched the music on the youtube video very well. I liked how you made those lights come on during the crescendo of the song; it was a nice little touch.

I also liked that you put some effort into the way the level looked. Not a lot of musical levels ever seem to bother, but if any level should be pleasing to look at it should be a level that requires no player involvment.

Good work! Five stars and a heart from moi!

As far as the F4F thing goes, I would really appreciate it if you gave my new level "The Adventures of the Prince: Chapter 1 The Attack" a try. The link to my thread is found by clicking my signature.

My thoughts.

Very well done. The lights cue when the drums kick in was nice. I wonder if you might have some of the lights come on and off as cued by the rhythm track. might add the the wow factor.

You faithfully reproduced the 3/4+1 timing of the song. It's a pity the sound modules provided my MM are so...what's the word I'm looking for here? anyway, my point is that the sound quality and hyper-humanized time of lpb music levels aren't well suited for exotic time signatures like this. what if you took some license and dropped the 4'th beats on the first part where they sound a little wrong. I don't know.
I've never tried anything this complex on LBP. My only music level is just barely a music level, since while you are playing the music your vehicle is bouncing off, and crushing cars (that really throws off timing BTW), So I'm hardly an authority.

I gave your level 5 stars because I think you did the best version of this possible with your current tools

P.S. - C'mon music pack!

If you found this helpful, or you are just curious, I'd like some feed-back on gradient studio utility, or Transcendental Sackitude. Both are linked in my sig.
