For a small school project I need to research all the different ways a news story can be presented. So I have printed off many online articles, but I need newspaper cut outs! The story i'm following is Les Paul's tragic death. If anyone has newspapers lying around from the 14th, 15th or 16th of August please check to see if they cover this story. If you could scan the article onto the computer and send it to me i'd be very thankful!

I don't know how to scan, cause I never scanned anything before... But if I have one in Canada, I'll just type out a section. If I get a little something something, then I'll do the whole thing.

The point of this is to actually see the article in all of its newspaper glory. So it being typed up isn't really much help, but thanks anyway. If you do have a scanner just put the page face down on the scanner, open up the scanner software and click scan.

I actuallly live in his home town of Waukesha, WI and they ran a nice article about him the other day. I can scan it from work on Monday. PM me your email address and I'll try to get you one on Monday. Will that work?

I work in newspaper and that's it exactly. We format the online version much differently than the print version. The readers have different wants and needs. Online there are much shorter snippets that you can scan with many outside links to go to. It's a usability thing. The print version is about easy to follow but complete coverage. Large photos (space permitting) and headlines that grab your eye. I found a copy of The Waukesha Freeman with a nice cover article. I'll scan it for you but you need to send me your email (private message if you don't want the world to see it)

Sorry mate, I don't have a scanner...or a newpaper on Les Paul No offense, but why bother posting then? The thread starter asked if someone could scan a newspaper article on Les Paul to study the formatting. It's like going into a thread about how to use VR material wisely just to tell people you don't have the MGS Pack.
