"Effulgence", New Song (Yes, another one...)
Archive: 7 posts
Don't fear, I'm not going to keep on spamming music threads, this is the last one only because I've put three days work into this, and it's my best recording ever. All the instruments are played by me, now introducing a wider range of percussion sounds! I wanted to use some panpipes for this, but I couldn't find my Dad's old ones Here, enjoy, and I hate to do this, but if you could also rate or comment, that would be much appreciated The song is an instrumental about Chile, my second home Folk metal ftw! YouTube - "Effulgence", Heel Music (Full Song) Thank you! I won't do it again Mikey the Dawwg. | 2009-08-15 21:42:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |

Eating old sardines and killing birds for no apparent reason. lol Thanks man! I wish to be signed whilst still studying at Birmingham University. Physics of course! =D | 2009-08-15 22:02:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
I like it a lot. It's not in the style of anything I've ever listened to before. The first section reminded me a bit of old Cream tunes. I'm not very musical but I did really enjoy the kind of push pull sounds/rhythm you had going at the front of the piece too. It's very layered too. I liked the electric/metal layer you put in and almost wanted it bigger (sorry I don't know the musical term for it) but more full and robust with the modern sound co-existing with that great folksy base you had going. It's a great piece though. My musical taste tends to swing more towards the first two you put out thougjt You really do have quite a gift. | 2009-08-16 05:15:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

Thank you very much, and I'm glad you cannot catagorise it - it's what I aim to do! I could've made the metal section a little longer, the truth is that I'm not really he best drummer and if I went on for longer, I may have lost tempo (I can't use metronomes, they put me off completely >_<). If your taste swings towards what you've heard from me previously (I have improved my recording techniques to no more uneven levels), then you'll like what I'm doing next =D Thanks once more! | 2009-08-16 12:34:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
