1. Plain Platformer by coasterfreak1235 - It takes forever to complete, and is nearly impossible with others. I spent over 2.5 hours in a group of four trying to beat this one level. We got so far, but eventually gave up. I still haven't completed it, and hopefully at the end of a month's time, I'd be able to get a highscore. If I had a second choice, it would be Vilter by mother-misty.

2. The best level I've ever played is a tough one, because I've played so many levels that excelled at absolutely everything. I don't think I can truly pick an overall best level. Maybe I could choose one for aesthetics, one for gameplay, one for design, etc, but I've just played way too many good levels to choose one that dominated all others.

Since we're speaking about 2 levels to enjoy and have fun for 2 months, I will say Tye-Dye and Vilter.2009-08-14 15:04:00

Oh you guys make me blush

(to answer your question centurion) It has to be a fun level with a high replay value, which means tye dye in my case. Have been thinking about the 2nd question but that's a really tough one to be honest, i just can't name 1 level

Thank you for your answers. I know the second question is a little personal. Happy to see everyone with an answer to my first. Im searching for the perfect balance of the aesthetics WOW factor vs solid gameplay. I will be playing all levels mentioned above to get closer to an answer.2009-08-14 17:27:00

little off subject but ive passed this level twice. once with three players and once with four. very frustrating. ive left a comment asking him to raise the gas so the players don't pull the camera down so far leaving the other players blind. again sorry i got off subect

If I could only play one level for a month - tyedye - has the most potential to keep me interested as it's free roaming, colorful and you can spend tons of time trying to perfect bubble combos.

Best level is tricky. I have to agree with BSprague that there are so many ways they can be the best in my head. Closest I think I can say is Temple of Anubis by Nattura but it's not the perfect level in all categories.

I could'nt choose a best level. But Vertigo, by who's name I forget, has excellent replayability, and did actually keep me playing it for around three weeks everytime I was on LBP.2009-08-14 18:49:00

The two picks aren't the same for me.

A month with just one level and it has to be something with major replayability, something that has a randomness built into it, so I'd probably go with 'TyeDye' as well. Although 'Destiny' by is probably the level I've played the most so that would be a close second.

My favourite level??? Gawd, that's hard, but i think Kiminski's first 'Tomb Raider' is pretty much perfect in my eyes.

I just thought of an overall favorite for me, but it wasn't an easy choice by any means. OIL_'s "The Ancient Castle" is such an amazing, yet underplayed level.2009-08-15 11:45:00

You know... I've passed by this thread about 10 times wanting to put something, but it's HARD to answer - I've played so many levels (LBP is the only game I've played for the last year....)

#1 - After a lot of thought, I think it comes down to Tye Dye. Every time I played it, I found new techniques so it wouldn't get old. Even though they may be fantastic, you don't want to be stuck for a month with a great level that's more of a 1-or-2 time play.

#2 - Can I go with a series on this one? So far, I think Julesyjules Star Wars series is, from an aeshetics AND gameplay standpoint, one of my all time favorites so far. I've been following it from the beginning. But on the other hand, the same could be said about From Siberia With Love..... But, then, False Idols was fantastic.... I know it's new, but Miracle of Life was awesome.... Can I choose my own? I still play Splat Invaders quite a bit.... But, boy, that feeling I got the first time I played 218 from OCK... The first time I found Pirates of the Tortugas on line (before Mattification was a member) I had SO much fun... From a content stantpoint, the first time I played Ungreth's Gothic Reverie it gave me a great feeling... But then there's every level from MrSuperComputer.... THIS IS HARD!!! I KEEP REMEMBERING STUFF!!! Gotta stop before I get a headache.

For the first question I would pick something long and difficult, like that level where one of the obstacles is a falling group of eggs that you jump across. Sorry, the name/author escapes me!

For the second question, my favourite level ever is this one. It's not the greatest level in the world but it is the one that got me hooked on LBP months before launch and is always there as a source of inspiration. It really captures the essence of LBP.

If I could only play one level for a month, it would be The King's Colorful Race! by Caesar_72 (or some such). I've probably already spent a solid week's worth of LBP play time on that level trying to get into the top 5 and I'm sure it would take me close to a month to get a perfect system down.

As for the best level I've ever played... Silent Hill Tribute by MonkeyButler, for several reasons. One, it's aesthetically beautiful. Two, it manages to create the sort of atmosphere I never knew was possible on LBP before I played it. Three, it got me into the more horror-based levels (it's the best way I can think of to describe them) as opposed to just romping about in happy colorful levels all the time.

So, yeah, that's mine. Odd combination, if you really think about it.

If I could play only one level for a month, it would either by TyeDye by Jaeyden, or MYST by ladylyn1 (2 very different levels!)
TyeDye is just a blast to play, and has a good bit of exploring. And, of course, you can spend hours and hours trying to chain together all those score bubbles!

MYST is a massive level, taking at least an hour to complete, if not more if you didn't use hints. It's a puzzle-based level based on the PC game of the same name and type.

My favourite level of course is a very difficult choice. I don't know if I could really answer that, but I guess because I played it very recently and it was of course an amazing level, The Miracle of Life by Poms stands out to me as a favourite.

I don't think I'd be able to play only a single level for a month. There's way too many good ones. But if I had to I'd want to choose some level with replayability. Something like Booty Bay or the Clarkdef level. Maybe Miglioshins 7th Idol level, that ones got lovely decoration as well as being fun. I think a survival level would probably be a good idea.

Favourite level is difficult for me. I loved the latest GrantosUK level series (Mar Attacks) as well as his Siberia series. But then I love Mrsupercomputer's levels because of the great material uses. Morgana's characters are beautiful, heck her levels are fun as well as beautiful so the Chroma Stones series would be up there.
Hyper Cube/Sphere levels are lovely to play and have a clean art style. Jump_button's levels are well thought out and Upand Away in Sky Town is just superbly relaxing.

Although I really loved dkjestrup's Sonnet of the Gargoyle level (again Morgana's Gargoyles looked brilliant!)
So obviously I have no clear favourite
