Is it ok to use the theme of Murder?
Archive: 13 posts
The story of my level involves a mysterious murder of the Queen, and you are called in by the King to find out who did it. Is it OK to have themes of a killing and murder in a level? or will it be moderated? | 2009-08-13 14:07:00 Author: noddle111 Posts: 174 |
I think its fine, as long as you don't start describing limbs and blood everwhere. | 2009-08-13 14:10:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
I think its fine, as long as you don't start describing limbs and blood everwhere. Haha! Thanks. I'll take extra care, it's not a gory story at all PS: I made the EXACT same Slash Sackboy that you have in your sig!!! I love Slash! | 2009-08-13 14:12:00 Author: noddle111 Posts: 174 |
Really!?! I like you. | 2009-08-13 14:14:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
Id say you might get it moderated If you actually show a dead body though. You would have to be caerful with how you handle it. | 2009-08-13 14:17:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |

Luckily, because of the nature of the story, I don't at all need to show the dead body. | 2009-08-13 14:24:00 Author: noddle111 Posts: 174 |
Unlikely you'll get modereated for a dead body or murder, otherwise MM might as well moderate them selves for things in story mode. The terrible Oni's skeleton when you kill him. Blowing up Sheriff Zapata etc. If you had dismemberment, blood gore, possibly. Though i've seen quite a # of levels with that and they're still standing. | 2009-08-13 18:51:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Moderation is really in the hands of the players, and I've seen those silly "Kill Spongebob" levels on the Cool Pages plenty of times. I wouldn't worry too much about it, just don't be obscene with it. | 2009-08-13 21:49:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
I think its fine, as long as you don't start describing limbs and blood everwhere. That's no fun. Limbs flying everywhere with gallons of blood spraying all over the place is funny as hell! | 2009-08-13 21:54:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
That's no fun. Limbs flying everywhere with gallons of blood spraying all over the place is funny as hell! But on a kid-friendly game like LBP... nah. But on God of War, YES! I put a dead guy with a bullet hole in his head and a 'red splat' sticker beneath him and I haven't been moderated. Mind you, the level only has 70 something plays! | 2009-08-13 22:35:00 Author: MarkoWolfy Posts: 445 |
That's no fun. Limbs flying everywhere with gallons of blood spraying all over the place is funny as hell! Lol, that reminded me something. Gonna check if there's Hokuto no Ken levels! LoL | 2009-08-14 11:14:00 Author: Count Posts: 315 |
I've used themes of murder, torture and cannibalism in my latest level, but I haven't been moderated yet. Depends on how you implement the ideas I guess. | 2009-08-14 12:16:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
Well your level is locked, there are very few of us that actually could actually good grief it... You'd better be nice to me - I've got sub accounts y'know. You should be fine, don't be graphic or in your face about it, and if the focus is on solving the murder etc I don't really think it will cross many people's minds. If you are worried about it still, maybe swap the word murdered for killed - it's the same thing but less likely to start flicking alarm bells (don't you just love semantics?) | 2009-08-14 13:07:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
