How many craters?
Archive: 24 posts
Hey guys, Does anyone have any idea how many craters your own moon can hold? Or how much memory it can store before you HAVE to delete/publish something? | 2008-09-10 17:51:00 Author: mrbobbyboy Posts: 304 |
Hey guys, Does anyone have any idea how many craters your own moon can hold? Or how much memory it can store before you HAVE to delete/publish something? there is 100 craters. | 2008-09-10 17:53:00 Author: Don Vhalt Posts: 2270 |

Well, he started it lol I don't blame you. <_< When fixing something, the least you could do is fix it right...lol. Anyway, anyone have a link to an article or a video to the "100 craters" thing. I doubt someone who played a demo started counting how many craters there are. | 2008-09-10 19:41:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |

it was from cartmans exclusive. it is a sticky in the lbpc news section. Really?o.o Wow lol, I've read it like 5 times...Guess I just forgot. | 2008-09-10 20:47:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |
Uhh, whenever I see the Moon it only has like 30-ish... Are there Craters WITHIN craters? Seriously, look at a video or something. It doesn't have 100 (even if we're gonna be allowed to have 100 levels). | 2008-09-10 21:09:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |
Yeah, there are craters in craters. | 2008-09-10 21:18:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Thanks for this guys but no one's answered my OTHER question - the craters are different sizes and I know they're supposed to represent different memory allowances so does anyone know how much memory the different sized craters hold, or the total memory allowance for the moon? | 2008-09-11 09:23:00 Author: mrbobbyboy Posts: 304 |

If you can assign patches to your own moon like you can on LBP when you publish, then it stands to reason there should physically be 100 craters. They're probably just going with an inventory system to make it easier though - can't say I blame them! | 2008-09-11 13:04:00 Author: mrbobbyboy Posts: 304 |
I think it should be limited by the amount of hard drive space we have. I mean 100 sounds like a lot and more than enough but you never know. I do have a lot of ideas. | 2008-09-11 14:14:00 Author: cstrfrk Posts: 74 |
I think i'm going to need more space because i already had 40 levels with timesplitter: future perfect -_- and with littlebigplanet you can make everything sooo.... | 2008-09-11 14:58:00 Author: Yarbone Posts: 3036 |
I think the moon will be like the planet, you have a main patch and within the main patch will be smaller patches that represent your levels. | 2008-09-11 15:55:00 Author: trialaccess Posts: 101 |
Yeah - that could work. But it doesn't seem to tie into anything I've read or seen. There's nothing to indicate what the lower limit on a level is and the higher. We all know it ties into the thermometer but that doesn't indicate size - it's just an arbitrary measurement. I'm wondering if there are small, medium and large craters that genuinely relate to small, medium and large space allowances or if they're ALL the same. | 2008-09-11 21:22:00 Author: mrbobbyboy Posts: 304 |

There are craters inside the craters you can see. These might all be the same size but I am not sure. I think they would all be the same size, but it's just a guess... | 2008-09-11 21:44:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
I bet you couldn't resist that lol I bet you could not resist that laugh out loud. | 2008-09-12 20:40:00 Author: GuyWithNoEyes Posts: 1100 |
I remember a recent video that showed a player selecting a crater and in each crater there were 4 different icons. Maybe 4 levels per crater? | 2008-09-14 18:25:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
I bet you could not resist that laugh out loud. Dude... WTF? | 2008-09-14 18:51:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
So are there 100 work in progress craters, or you can only have 100 levels of your own? Once you finish and publish a level, can you remove it from your moon but keep it in the game? | 2008-09-14 20:30:00 Author: THE-FAT Posts: 143 |
