Hi, I'm Nick Laslett. A new member of LittleBigPlanet Central forums.

You have a great community here for LBP creators and players alike.

I am a long time forum member of NeoGAF, there User Levels thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=341622&page=16&highlight=user+created+levels has pretty much died and I wondered why. It turns out that RangerZero, Jump_Button, Donkey Show, The Killian, Xenon, etc are all active members of the community here.

I'm always on the lookout for good levels to play, especially ones that walk the fine line between a challenge and being children multiplayer friendly. A big ask I know!

I have created one level so far, Kid's Easy Fun - Beginner, for my two children. My goal with this level was to make something fun and easy to complete.

I look forward to interacting with the community here and giving level feedback where I can.

That's a pretty good Idea. how'd it work out for your kids? They like it?

I usually don't like gaming with the young'uns but I do have a couple on my friends list that I don't have the heart to delete. It'd be nice to have a special place in search for levels like that, since this game seems to have that sort of appeal.

I just played your level and, not being a kid, got lost and din't finish the level.

I have two peices of advice:

1: more burping and fart sounds

2: post this level on level showcase and use the F4F feature.

Thank you LBPcentral members for the warm welcome.

I have made a post in the Level Showcase area for my Level.

I have also made a recommendations post of a few of the old levels from last year that I still enjoy playing.

I intend to try a few User levels tonight and post some feedback tomorrow.

Swanbrown, thank you for the comments. You are right that LBP is great for kids, but finding levels for them is not so easy. I also find it hard to heart kid friendly levels under my User ID, because it sends a mix message about my endorsement of good levels. I started getting my Wife to heart the kid friendly levels.

As it happens I played My Happy Place yesterday. I will add some comments to your thread for this level.

Hello there, and welcome to LBPC. Hope you have fun

I'm a big fan of Dragon Rider, always more fun being a Dragon's friend, than having to fight them. I look forward to playing more of your levels.

Hi Nick, always good to have another person on board.

If your interested in great levels but slightly easier to get into to and play I could suggest you check out IceMaiden, jackofcourse, and MrsSpookybuz (slightly more difficult but still enjoyable by younger players and old). I also create generally easier levels, "pinball wizard" and "The Wizard of Odd" would be most suited to beginers. Oh and rangerzero has one called "Ultra beginners and girlfriends"

Welcome!

Yeah, this is where most of the great creators live now. Don't let your kids play my levels... they're hard and make kids cry.

Well, they didn't make ME cry...Made me curse at the TV screen, and throw the controler at the neighbor's kids, then they threw it back (Good aim, those kids.) and THAT'S what made me cry.

Welcome! Have your children try CCubbage's son's levels (you'll know they are his as they won't make them cry) he made them by himself and they are good for his age (and better than some 2 or three times his age too!) Have fun!2009-08-12 00:22:00

Morganna25, thank you for the recommendation. It is spooky that you should have posted here, because yesterday I wrote down the names of three levels I was going to play to give feedback in the Showcase thread. Your's was one of these levels.

Unfortunatley my internet connection went down and I was only able to play one of these. I will get to your's tomorrow.

Welcome to LBPC Nick.

My wife, Lady_Luck__777 and I have a 7 year old, and I agree it's difficult, but not impossible, to find kid-friendly levels to play. The Search Filter is great for finding such levels...try searching for Scooby Doo (she loved that one), and x_nobody_x has a really cool level of his home that she has played numerous times.

And when I create levels, I try to keep the kids in mind also, so I'll make an Easy version for them, but that may be easier said than done, as some kids apparently have difficulty with the logic portion of my Takken level. My daughter had no issues with my level, but she also had the inside scoop as I was creating it. A friend of mine's daughter and her classmates have played Takken several times, and he tells me they enjoyed it...so, it's probably a toss-up, depending on the child.

I'll add your level to my list of plays, and get my daughter and wife to join me.

So...glad you found us, and I hope you enjoy it here.
