Another Enhancement Idea...

I was just thinking about a new enhancement, and this is what I got...

Keyblade/Wand: It would be another weapon to use, and could be tweaked by the creator to decide what it uses to attack; such as Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, and Combat.

(The Combat is just random swinging around of the weapon)

It could also come with a "Hit Switch" that would activate after a certain amount of hits, no matter what they are.

The Keyblade/Wand would be lethal to creatures set to "Vulnerable".

I think it sounds user-friendly, but what do you think?

That sounds quite good. I take it you're a Kingdom Hearts fan?

It would be incredibly difficult for Mm to make though, and I can't see how you'd fit it in to a game like LBP.

There's always a thread suggesting a melee weapon/implement ><

I just don't see the point and also with players able to hold things like the monkey staff in the other hand it might look a bit silly :S

I do realize that LBP wasn't made for killing. However, some levels could find this very usefull, so instead of jumping on some weak spot, or shooting a gun, they could have a third option for bosses/creatures.

The switch I mentioned above could be used for puzzles, so this could serve two purposes

It's not for everyone, but some people would really like it.

Frankly, that's identical to the Paint Switch, just at close range. Just give your player a paintball gun and have them shoot at that, it is literally the exact same thing.

Thx, you saved me the trouble of saying it.
I mean really, this is something that will only entertain one or two people for a couple of hours, that's it, wouldn't really add gameplay at all.

I don't think they will implement this, since there was an "element" in LBP called Ice, but they removed it for (I don't know) reason.
But if this were to happen, it would be fun for elemental levels, you know what I'm saying?

It was a balancing issue, they couldn't get all of the details right so that it was a fun mechanic to use.

I'm sure I remember someone saying that part of the reason was that it had little use:
you hit ice, freeze, shake it off, oh, crap I'm on ice, goto 2

I cant understand why people say it wouldn't give new platforming options

Fire: Destroy wooden objects that block ur way, activate explosives from a distance
Ice: freeze enemies to use them as platforms , freeze water to create an icy bridge (nos if only we had water)
Lightning: Turns on/off electrical devices (such as motor bolts,pistons ecc.) from a distance if they arent set to a switch.
Wind: Moves light materials from a distance such as sponge, cardboard, but only if they arent very big
