Archive: 18 posts

Today I was in creation mode, well creating when my brother comes in the room and say: Can I play now?

I say: Sure.

I save, go to pod and rapidly press triangle and X.... My level, that I've been working on for the past month got deleted...

That's such a bad thing to happen. But look on the bright side, it could have been your brother who pessed triangle and just think how bad he would have felt!!!!

Well, from what I read, I would guess this brother was a little brother, and little brothers are the scourge of the earth. Not that I would know, I don't have any brothers. But if a little brother (Or sister) ever does something like that to you, they are always happy about it...

Also, If his lil' bro (For those not "Cool" and "Hip," I am reffering of course to the said "Little brother") had deleted the level, at least blizzard would have had someone to blame. Now he has no scapegoat but himself...

Always publish a locked copy of the level you're working on!

maybe someone should market an accessory for the sony controller:

A Triangle button protector. It could look like the little switch protectors in the movies that flip up, so the hero doesn't accidentally launch the nuke at vegas.

lol

Well... You should be more patient.
Never happened to me.

My most precious level (LittleBigMemory), has a published spot and four spots on my moon. Two of the spots are the most recent one, in case one gets deleted (which it has in the past). The other two are older saves in case I need to see changes I've made in the newer versions. I don't think I can stress enough how important saving your work and backing it up in several different places is.2009-08-09 21:17:00

Wow, that's unfortunate, a similar thing happened to me, a level that i spent ages working on got randomly deleted (i had 20 levels out at the time), i stoped lmaking levels for a while after that, now i published locked levels, theres nothing on my moon 2009-08-09 21:19:00

theres nothing on my moon
I'd back up the levels to the moon as well, just to be safe. You never know if the servers will crash and erase everything, or if your level will get moderated. Even if it accidentally gets moderated, if you don't have it backed up on the moon, it's gone for good.

pressing triangle deletes stuff? why dont i know these things?!

but blizzard, that sucks. your level was coming along nicely. did you delete all evidence of it or just the version on your moon? if it's the latter, hopefully your published version wasnt too far behind
