I've found a glitch..me...a glitch!!

Archive: 4 posts

This is a first. I'm a good boy and tend to stick with what works and what makes sense so glitches are uncommon with me.

However!

I have a platform that shoots up when you get near it in 0.1 of a second. Originally there was gas between it's minimum point and maximum so if you fell off you'd hit it before you seen the bottom...

I thought I'd see what it would be like if I used electric...tried it, and it feels and works much better. About 5 minutes later I realised that this electric is still on the same layer as the platforms...so how the hell are the platforms getting past it?

Sure enough, they are doing, they're just going straight through it. It must just be the speed that the platforms are travelling. I hope this wasn't a wasted thread as I rarely look at glitch threads so this good just be common knowledge.

(I haven't tried to recreate it either. I'm lazy).

This happens all the time with me, it's just the speed of the processing. It usually happens with flipper motion. I wish there were some way to fix t without getting a super-heavy-duty processor for the PS3...2009-08-09 03:45:00

It's made this part of my level a lot easier to build...but is it stable? (As stable as a glitch can be obviously) would you recommend keeping it?

not really, it's more of an annoying bug than a glitch.2009-08-09 03:52:00
