Next Level

Hi there, Later in this month or September I'll start making my next level. I've been working on an improved version of the underwater part of The Bunker, for what it could be a level called ?Atlantis?. The problem is I think this is not very original, and there are a few hundreds of levels about this? I also have another idea, which it would be a prehistoric adventure; it would be called ?Troglodyte? or ?The Sack of Neanderthal?. It would be a level without dinosaurs (well? maybe a final boss), but lots of prehistoric animals? One more idea, I also have the feeling to go back to my beginnings, and make sequel to Hell?s Angels. There would be some more platform game this time, several bikes, a long ride trough heaven, and a longer ride trough hell? Any feedback? | 2009-08-06 20:08:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Hmmm... the "Atlantis" idea could be really cool if done with really nice visuals. Since Atlantis is so mysterious you could mix it with unique creatures.... that would allow you to do something "similar" to the dinosaur idea but be more creative. | 2009-08-06 20:17:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
The idea of Atlantis is an intro located in the ancient Greece, then a trip with a boat, storm in the middle of the sea, and arrival to Atlantis. Then some extraterrestrials creatures? well I don't want to reveal the ending xDDD | 2009-08-06 20:35:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
I'd love to see a level like that. Personally, I think there are already many "high profile" dinosaur levels.... but this concept would pretty much let you go "nuts" with creative content. | 2009-08-06 20:40:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Atlantis all the way. With your creation skills it will surely be wonderful. | 2009-08-06 20:47:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Mmmh... so I'd rather go on with my first idea: "Atlantis". Lots of underwater (wich means jetpack) but, well I think I agree with you, that's probably the best option. I'll keep "investigating" about this continent. Thanks for you help! | 2009-08-06 21:11:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
The atlantis idea is the best, But i wouldn't like to be a big sheild of glass and stuff though | 2009-08-06 21:37:00 Author: Adam9001 Posts: 744 |
what if your on a big floating platform literally all of its floating and your trying to make it to the top but it's collapsing as in after you pass a stage one part collapses hope i helped | 2009-08-06 21:50:00 Author: lbptrophyluver Posts: 103 |

After playing The Miracle of Life, I'd love to see what direction you take with Atlantis. | 2009-08-07 05:17:00 Author: EVOin3D Posts: 91 |
This is something no one has ever made... Underwater rifts and volcanos You should try to make the level lag in the underwater parts.. | 2009-08-07 06:55:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
I think you should go for the atlantis. I find that idea as the best one. With good atmosphere and graphics It can get orginal (and I have no doubt about it will) and I can't wait to see level. By the way, have you ever read the Darren Shan series of book, called: The Demonata? In the book, atlantis was just not a city It was a whole planet with advanced species, who got extinct (more or less, the remaining ones mutated to slugs or something). Keep up the good work! | 2009-08-07 12:34:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
(...)possibly some underwater caves or shipwrecks to explore along the way(...) Mmmh... yeah, if you don't mind, I'll "steal" this idea xDDD (...)Underwater rifts and volcanos(...) Mmmh... volcanos? I like it (...) have you ever read the Darren Shan series of book, called: The Demonata? In the book, atlantis was just not a city It was a whole planet (...) I'm affraid not. But my idea is making the level following one of the theorys I read somewhere (probably in a yellow-press magazine) that the whole Atlantis was just a Space ship in the middle of the sea, that one day, just left earth... OK, Atlantis is going to be my next level. Now I'll be collecting ideas for some weeks before I start making. Any good idea would be apreciated. Thanks guys! | 2009-08-07 16:27:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
Turning the music down a bit whenever the player is underwater is a nice little touch. Should be especially nice if you have little pockets of air inside palaces/temples/shipwrecks. Probably the best idea I had for Lost Temples. Or at least people often left a positive comment mentioning that. | 2009-08-07 16:37:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Mmmh... yeah, if you don't mind, I'll "steal" this idea xDDD Most welcome! Steal away! Let me know if you need any other ideas or would like me to take a look at your progress for any other suggestions. ..and hope I get another key to play test this one as well as I'm excited already! Take care and have a great weekend. | 2009-08-07 17:53:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Steal whatever you want. It's great that such a good creator like you decides even to do researches for his level. Kudos! | 2009-08-07 18:42:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Just curiosity, Ccubagge and jwwphotos, did you recommend me "Atlantis" because you already knew about the new water feature? The new water tool will make that half of the future published levels have underwater parts... I don't like that. | 2009-08-18 21:23:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

Though it makes ya wonder what we do know huh? | 2009-08-18 21:47:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
