Store update: InFAMOUS Costume

Beware the barrel scraping puns that lie ahead, but I've got an important message to relay to you all which you may find en-lightning.
Going out on the wire today is the costume based on Cole MacGrath, electric super power possessing protagonist of recent PS3 game InFAMOUS.
Due to some confuse-ion, the costume was nearly delayed Faraday or two, but knowing how much resistance there would be to that, we decided to put it out there on time, else we be contacted by someone scary with the desire to be charged with assault and battery.

Yay! More puns! I may want to buy this costume, as I saw it in the store and it's only ?1.59. Oh, and there's a small typo in the topic title. It says "Store pdate:". Or maybe this is a pun I don't understand about?

The electric balls are rubbish IMO. The red one looks pink...and they both look like Christmas decorations.

I actually liked this, the thing in the hand is pretty cool, and I like that it shines in the dark

The costume was pretty cool too, I just don't like how there is no happy+mad face...

The electric ball in the game looks nothing like the picture, not cool. It's just a ball of light with some colored string hanging from it...maybe it looks better in the dark.

THIS DLC DESERVES NO ELECTRIC STYLE PUNS....IF ANYTHING IT DESERVES TINSEL PUNS SINCE THATS ALL WE GOT....SOME BALL WITH TINSEL ON IT....i regret my purchase

Would someone mind to post a picture of what they really look like? I'm still considering purchasing it since I always liked the outfit, but this is still stupid how much they changed it when they advertised it.

costume looks the same....the only thing i'm ripping about is the flame used in the sacktue of liberty that tinsel crap is what they used for the electric ball...so everything in that picture is real except for the electric ball which in reality is a bunch of tinsel attached to a ball of light

I don't get why people hate the electric ball(s). They look fine, and I love how when you go to the controller it looks like it's electrifying the analog stick.

But then again I don't have the Statue of Liberty costume so I wouldn't know about the tinsel. (My PS3 Broke so I missed all the limited time ones :< )

Edit: Now mine looks like tinsel crap.

but yeah wish Mm would just show us EXACTLY how the pic would look instead of shooping the electric ball to make it look like what we would get when we purchased it....i feel tricked lol

Well despite some of the negative feedback, I decided to go ahead and drop the few bucks on this costume anyways. I have to say though, I had hoped this was just some unwarranted belly-aching from a few people. They certainly photoshopped the heck outta the promo shots. The red ball is really deceiving in the pics and looks absolutely nothing like what we see "in-game"... the colour isn't even close to being red, and barely registers as being on the pink side of the spectrum. The blue coloured ball isn't much better either. Both mostly register as being white with a hint of colour behind them.

I don't find the electricity effect to be as "tinsel" looking as I initially imagined after reading the thread though... so I'm okay with that. I certainly expected brighter colours with more vivid contrast though. This is the first DLC I've truly been disappointed with so far.

Oh well... at least it wasn't 5 buck plus tax.

if it was after buying this it would not be worth the 5-6 bucks i was expecting it to be around that much but was surprised when i saw the price
