Electric world and a minigame

Electric World

I was thinking about this for a few seconds so I decided to make a thread about it.

I would make a level using lots of wires and stuff. There would be TVs that turn on with switches and DVD Players that open and close. And of course all the dangers to accompany these.

Of course, the telly would just be a big square and behind it the wood/cardbourd animation would pop up.

Minigame

Moving platform (Just going right) With lots of dangers hung on the backdrop. The person that gets the furthest without getting hit is the winner!! There will be platforms to jump on to get over big walls of fire and/or bouncy things to get over them.

Nice lol, if it was a still minigame (screen stays in the same place) you could've put the like frame of a tv around the edges of the screen so it looks like Sackboy's playing the minigame in a TV 2008-09-09 19:21:00

I could make the backdrop move along then. Thanks for clearing up the definition of a minigame. I just thought it was a game with no real objective except not to die...

OH good one DrunkMiffy, I agree you may want to look into something like that for the minigame. But overall good idea, death by electric shock is always fun.

What came into my head when I started reading this thread was making a level that takes place on the inside of a tv or a computer or something. The sackboy would walk up to the exterior of a giant tv (or computer) and enter a little opening in the side. They could then run through an array of wires and circuit boards and trying to avoid different parts that might electrify them.

As for minigames, gosh, there are going to be endless possibilities.

To make a minigame with the frame of a tv on the outside what you could do is instead of making it so the sackboy runs through the level avoiding obstacles you can do this:

First make a frame of a t.v. that will cover the edge of the entire screen, then make a conveyor belt that goes along the entire bottom of the screen. The belt would move to the left, so as the sackboy runs to the right he would be staying inside the tv frame. Then put spikes on the sides and top of the tv frame, so if they go too high, too far forward, or too far behind they die from the spikes. On top of that you create objects and obstacles on the conveyer belt that will kill the sackboy if they touch them.

Nono, I meant a still minigame, where the screen stays the same place. For example, meerkat bounce.
