I don't really mind going back in september, been a good few months I've been off now. Going into lower sixth when I get back for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Technology and further Maths.

It's like old school but harder, but to balance it out we can go to Mr Patel's Cornershop to buy pizzas n such so it's all good.		2009-08-06 21:59:00

If I was still back in my home country, I would've started school 2 months ago :|.

But since the grade levels are different there and here in America, all of my old friends are College already!!!. I'm still in High school..

America was settled by the British and stuff, but Canada was originally a kind of trading outpost for the French. That's why there's so much French stuff out there. but i generally thought both america and canada were just formed up of the brits and europeans....new york went for instance through a few names, both british and dutch was it? something like that, iv never been to york though, the place it was named after but i have been to new york once. id like to go again

what i dont get is how they are a new nationality, as in different people. they are just the children of our settlers....so i dont quite get how they cant be british, they technically are kinda though, they decended from us

Well the problem is, most of us don't descend from the British anymore. We have those descended from the Native Americans, Africans, the Dutch, the Spanish, the Portugese, the Asians, the Scots, the Poles, the Arabics, the Indians, the Germans, the French, the Scots, the Irish, and so on...

We're not all a bunch of Englishmen is the things, though at one time we were. We have a mix of so many cultures here that it's not even funny. I've got a friend who is Native American, Asian, African, and Latino.

I got back to school next Tuesday

But in Scotland we start our Summer holidays earlier than England, but finish earlier as well!

we also have a different school system in Scotland, we have Primary's 1-7(Ages 4-11/12), then go to Academy & have Years 1-6(ages 11/12-17/18)...but can leave after 4th year if you wish! But I'm staying on for 5th year.....let the Banter start!		2009-08-14 14:36:00

Yeah, I love school. The work obviously could be done without, but what can ya do.
But I usually look forward to each day, unless I have 3 tests and a project due >_>

Really though, in my opinion if you don't like school to a certain extent, then you should strongly consider switching. I switched after Grade 9 and it was just about the best choice I've ever made in my life! 		2009-08-17 05:10:00

Nationality means that what country you're from. That's why it's called NATIONality. It really has nothing to do with ancestry. TECHNICALLY, we're all African. I don't get how you can call yourself British, though, you descended from Africans.

Also, a lot of Americans aren't British. There were a lot of immigrants who came to America after the American Revolution. I would go out on a limb and say that most Americans are of Irish descent. I have no British blood in me, only a whole bunch of Eastern European and Irish.

i mentioned the europeans too....i dont know why i post when noone really reads them fully

and im sure i already said, im not really british. im only the 4th generation thats been in britain...so i dont really call myself british, not fully. so yeah i know, my nationality is british, although i hardly am british, im only called that cus i was born here. but i do agree with just because you are born somewhere, it doesnt mean you really are from there, genetically. like if two english people had a child in spain some might call them spanish and others english, id go with calling them english...but still. if you really wanna get technical, yes we are indeed african orginally		2009-08-23 08:30:00
