A light material
Archive: 11 posts
A special material like dissolve that when a switch activates it, will light up in the color of your choosing. You could make complicated shapes and have them light up via switches without having to place a bunch of LED lights, which can be tedious. This would be pretty cool![]() | 2009-08-05 18:30:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |

Cool idea, so MM will never release it. And you know the reason? You named it. From http://www.mediamolecule.com/email-and-links/ Although we know you?ve all got great ideas for our game, to keep the world?s lawyers happy, we?re not allowed to look at any you send and have to stick our fingers in our ears and go ?la-la-la-la? every time someone tells us a cool idea. | 2009-08-06 07:32:00 Author: OmegaSlayer ![]() Posts: 5112 |

From http://www.mediamolecule.com/email-and-links/ Well, that's definitely not totally true - while they can't reproduce specific ideas, they can easily take an idea and make it their own to avoid legal issues. As long as it's different enough and it doesn't follow any specific plan that someone else laid out, they can add it in. Materials that emit light would be something that they could easily add in without any legal issues, as it's a general concept and not a specific set of design plans. | 2009-08-06 08:22:00 Author: ConfusedCartman ![]() Posts: 3729 |
I've always thought you should have some sort of legal agreement for this forum that lets Mm use any suggestions without legal issues. | 2009-08-06 08:27:00 Author: Dexiro ![]() Posts: 2100 |
I've always thought you should have some sort of legal agreement for this forum that lets Mm use any suggestions without legal issues. That's something we'd have to work out with Mm and Sony. I'll ask Mm about it. | 2009-08-06 08:28:00 Author: ConfusedCartman ![]() Posts: 3729 |

i don't understand whats the problem with legal issues here, if LBPcentral says Oh we pass all responsibility of these ideas over to Mm surely that would make it alright? | 2009-08-06 09:41:00 Author: Kern ![]() Posts: 5078 |

Although if it WAS exactly the same... Wouldn't this thread have sunk way down with no new posts by the time (if) they release that? So, the lawyers and...er...legal people, etc. wouldn't notice, right? | 2009-08-06 10:44:00 Author: BlackHairedGoon ![]() Posts: 160 |
