It doesn't sound like another costume pack to me, they were replying to a message stating "Enough with these costumes," Why would they ask him to keep it until August 18th, if it's another costume pack. Doesn't make sense to me. Sorry, i misread and inverted the order of the messages - I'm a bit skeptic about this being a medium pack considering the history pack, but i can't exclude this being something they have been working on for a while... maybe the creator pack 2... any speculations?

No, it's something as big as possible, since it will be presented during Sony Gamescon conference, and will be available as soon as the announcement is given. People around here knows and could hint at what's not. I think it's neither costumes nor Online Create, not even Ratchet pack (I think this will be out in early-mid October).

Keep an eye on your friends trophy list on compare if the % suddenly drops you'll know theres a level pack on the way and have a good idea what its about.

I want to say OLD but you wouldn't like me for it. On the PS Blog post about 1 million levels they do say something along the lines of "look out for a amazing announcement on August 18th! yadayadayada", it's the paragraph 2 above the video! It would most likely be levels, considering the context of the reply. It's not just "look towards August 18th", its "Look towards August 18th to supply your new level craving". We can speculate all we want, but we'll see what's really going on when August 18th rolls around.

Whoa, Nelly! No sooner than we hear that Sony is informing Japanese retailers that the 80GB PS3 model won't be shipping any longer after August 8th, along comes this to stoke the raging rumor fires once more. In a one-two punch that just can't be coincidental, Sony has also hacked $50 off of its 160GB PlayStation 3 bundle from Amazon. But really, it's the report from RTLinfo that has us most excited. According to it, the Sony elite are informing European retailers of an impending ?100 price slashing on the 80GB console, which will dovetail nicely into the sudden and not-at-all unexpected debut of the PS3 Slim at the gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany. Reportedly, the willowy unit -- which shouldn't differ much in terms of specifications and features -- will be properly introduced to the world during Sony's pre-event press conference on August 18th. Obviously we've no way to confirm or deny just yet, but given everything else that has transpired over the past few months, we'd say an official reveal is definitely due. What say you, rumormongers? Recognise the date?

Let's think about the "Arcade" name literally. What do arcade games have that are reasonable to include for LBP? Top-Down gaming* Pinball gaming* MELEE weapons Health bars Scrolling Levels* Getting points without collecting them (for doing jumping over things and such) *=LBP has make-shift forms of them.

IMO, it's a new R&C Pack. The end of the R&C series is about to be released in October, and it takes a little bit to develop and process those kinds of things. Perhaps it will be released alongside the Arcade Pack (I have no idea what that is, by the way)?

Online create will be available in October, when the GOTY edition will be out, that's my guess. They keep saying that it's better than every user imagined. Well, I don't know what they will add, but I still say that at least they should add a debug mod, since working with emitters is madness, and they should allow to hide layers to make us work only on one at time. That would be awesome more than everything... Then logic switches, liquids, other hazards would be very welcome... Anyway, less than 2 days left.

Here's why I think it's a Ratchet & Clank Pack: The final game in the series that it is centered around is coming out in only two months. That would be enough time to wrap all of the content in one neat package and put it up for sale at the same time the actual game comes out. Double the fun, yes? Reason two, is that R&C has always been associated with the Sony brand. Reason three... Darn it, I'm a big fan of the franchise!

Based on my findings the new thing is the water addition that most likely includes a scuba diving enhancement, used like a jetpack/paintgun. Sure sounds like a nice time to include it since it's the summer and water is the first thing we jump in to cool off. The Water Pack would very likely be free of charge and be released in the near future. Info about water includes: Stay under water too long and you drown. You can float if you grab onto something that's above water. If you wear the scuba enchancement you will be able to go under water without the time limit of when you're going to drown.
