Oh yes, this would be great!! I would like more "general" background like a house interior for example or a sky with realistic clouds...

Wow, that is very cool. It's probably the same deal as the one you see in the tutorials though, it's not finished. It takes a lot of time and manpower to make one of those backgrounds, because they are very detailed and in full 3D. Hopefully they will finish and release it, but I'm not holding my breath. They are coming out with a new background with the History Pack though.

It's -the- background that stood out for me prior to release. I remember after finishing the story mode being confused I'd not seen it. I thought it would appear after the gardens. I can't understand why they took it out. I want it back. The color palette seems very light and soothing to create to.8

The color palette seems very light and soothing to create to.8 I remember in an interview Alex Evans did say something about a beach theme, but he thought it was the "weakest" of their themes so they scrapped it.

The problem is that 9 backgrounds are really few, and many are too similar. At least we should have 15 backgrounds.

I'd like the beach background, and the tutorial one to, bit dissapointed in the History pack one, it looks a little to much like the MGS background from what I can see. And them beach bugs can be nasty, especially on a "naturalist" beach

Just the background? I want Mm to put in all of the beach levels they made. They took them out of the final game for some reason. Thats a whole story mode area taken away! Please put it back, its just going to waste sitting in the Mm studios.

I think he mentioned only that the beach theme was the weakest of all of them. I'm not sure if he was talking about actual levels or not. It could just have been the idea of beach levels that didn't strike him well.

I was looking at a load of screens before LBP's release and loads of them had this background, the screens were also with loads of story level screens...

Sure, between early ideas search and the final game, there's a lot of changes.. Among the artwork concept stickers (ideas sketchs) that we get in the story mode, there's one about a circus theme..TOO BAD that they didn't kept that, it would have been very cool. Hope we'll see this in one next DLC (or maybe it will be one of the themes for LBP PSP...)

I'd have to look into that one.. o.O I'd really like to see MM make a Beach Pack, that had the beach background and an underwater background, along with water themed stickers and decorations.

My guess is MM reads this and has already figured out a long time ago that we want it back and they're going to give it to us. Anything else would be weird.
