Standard Definition PS3 Wallpaper "Darth Sack"

Archive: 13 posts

Here's a little love for those of you who haven't got an HD TV yet I imagine it also looks good with the Pixels theme and this, along with the HD wallpaper will be in my complete theme that I will have up soon! I would really apreciate some feedback on this wallpaper (what it looks like on a regular TV screen), as I have no idea what this looks like on the PS3 XMB!

Basic Tutorial for uploading pics to PS3:

1) First you'll need a flash drive (usb key) or a memory card that is compatible with your PS3. On it you'll want to create a folder and call it PICTURE (capitalised). This folder has to be on the first layer of your card or drive (i.e. not in any other folders that are already on your card/drive)

2) Download the original size of the wallpaper and put it in that folder.

3) Insert the card or drive into the PS3 and it will appear as an icon in the top of your picture list (above the "Playlist" icon). Press X on that icon and your picture should be there! Then press Triangle for the options and select Copy.

4) Now get back out of the card/drive and open the picture. You'll hit Triangle while viewing the picture this time, select Set as Wallpaper from the pop-up options and voila, you've got yourself a fresh new Wallpaper!

Also, if you change your theme after installing the wallpaper, just go into the Background option in the Theme Settings menu.

That should cover it! Any questions feel free to ask them .

Just to let you know, you can also just use the PS3 to get on-line and download the picture also by bringing up the menu and you can download pictures with the PS3. That is how I have been getting them.2008-09-09 15:21:00

That's true! I just rarely use the browser on the ps3 (probably one of the very few features I haven't learnt to exploit properly!) So this site loads up well on the PS3? I'll check it out. ***If anyone needs a tutorial for how to download from the PS3, I'll be happy to whip one up, just ask***

it fits good except it's a little big (planet. i'm sorry i just had to put that in) so shrinking it a couple notches would be perfect2008-09-16 01:42:00

lol, nice pun :arg:

So what do you mean by shrinking it? Do you mean the bar that runs across the icons? Or the whole thing? (which would mean there's something wrong with the theme builder I'm using...)

Thanks by the way! You're the only one to have given me feedback on this so far, so if I want to get my themes right, you're my only hope

Hmm, that is helpful, but I can't really ajust just like that... Would it be a bother for you to take a picture of your screen?? Quality wouldn't matter, even a cell phone pic would be fine. This way I could actually see what needs adjustment, and most importantly by how much it needs adjusting... If you can, there is no rush, whenever you get the time!
