Hey Guys, Got the news yesterday that the demo for Arkham Asylum is going on the PSN, Xbox Live and PC on the 7th August, yes the 7th as in Friday. Not the usual Thursday update it would appear. I personally cannot wait for this demo, should decide whether or not i purchase the game. I'm currently having mixed feelings about it as to whether it really is worth the hype that is surrounding it or whether its going to be another god awful comic book game. I'm praying it's going to be good though, i have wanted a good Batman game for years and with reviewers saying things like 'this is the Batman game we have all been waiting for' i'm hoping it lives up to its hype! Nope the Joker is exclusive DLC for the PS3 There has been no word of the 360 getting it yet, although it is inevitable that they will get it eventually. Just not at launch. I'm counting the days now!

This demo is awesome, but I don't know about an instantbuy, but hopefully the local dvd store will get it so I can rent it.

The demo was kind of fun but didn't make the game seem worth buying Some aspects like the combat were done really well but it started seeming repetitive before the demo had ended :/ Oh and after recently completing Uncharted i can't stand it when the characters talk to each other outside of cutscenes xD

Combat was heavily scripted and was either button mashing or hitting triangle when the lights appeared above enemies heads. I thought the camera was terrible. Batman stands a way off to the left of the screen and blocks out that side with his cape. I`ll get this at some point when I see it for 15 quid or something.

The atmosphere and great visuals are what make this game, the gameplay was not special in any way. I have been a bat-fan since I was like 6 years old so I will buy this the first day it comes out but I will not be expecting a brilliant game, just a good one with great visuals and respect to the franchise.

I don't read comics, and the only Batman stuff I've seen in recent history are Christian Bale's two movies (which I love) but I played this game not knowing what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. In short: I'm really pumped about this game. I'll probably just rent it, but when I do, I'll be playing the heck out of it. I just wish the demo was a bit longer...

I like the graphics.. Looks like something on the next gen console. (Not this gen) This game kind reminds me of Mass Effect. But I found the slow-mo kinda corny for some reason. The Bio's are a nice touch. It's fun but I'm not sure if it's gonna have a long gameplay. But really something worth checking out!

If you get it from amazon, and use 5OFFARKM as your preorder code, you could get up to 10 bucks off. When shipping and handling was applied to it to get it the day it comes out, it all got up to 55 dollars, or 5 bucks off the standard price, and I'm getting it the same day. just a tip for anyone who wants to save, like, a buck- plus there's supposedly other bonuses like a comic and 5 dollars for amazon mp3s, so... yeah. just sayin.

Woah... just downloaded the demo for PC. It's awesome!! Used a 360 controller so it was all good. I really love this... I may just have to get it when it comes out. Didn't think it was so stealthy (which i love) as well as great combat.

idk if i'm going to get it, I'll get the demo after the release. If its good and doens't take up much HDD i'll probably get it. FYI: For Home you get the Batcave personal space for playing the full version

If you're worried about HDD space and whatnot, just rent the game and then delete the data when you're done with it. I've done that several times because I can't always afford a new game/don't want to take a chance on a game I might not like.

yeah thats always true but then there's the problem of DLC. Now say i bought Batman and loved it but it takes 2GB, and then we get DLC for it. Now say i want to play Batman again 10 years from now (since sometimes we take a trip down memory lane with old games) If i delete it and reinstall it, i can't reget the DLC cause the store no longer works. Yeah we're talking a very long time now but still. I might just get the demo early just to see for myself. Did this deicision with Infamous (cause of the Gigawatt blades in case i liked it) and i didn't like it Infamous. so things worked out there. (else i would've wasted memory and a code just to play a game i wind up no liking)

I see what you mean with the DLC thing. And I'm really glad I used my rent strategy for inFamous, because there really wasn't all that much to do once you beat it twice (Good and Evil with one on Hard) except a couple trophies. I'm like two away from Platinum on that game but I turned it back in because I just got so BORED with it...
