'Orbit'

Archive: 4 posts

Thought I'd Kick off my return to the forums with a little spoiler on the level I'm working on.

I am thinking of calling it 'Orbit', not because I like Gum, but because It will take place on an (abbandoned) Satelite.

Story:
For a reason I havent thought of yet, you dock at the satelite (I am thinking you should have some form of permission to be there) but the defence systems go haywire (or do they?) and start attacking you. The main enemies you will encounter will be Either turrets or other forms of defences. I am hoping to include numerous rooms, including a segment OUTSIDE the station, VIA Jetpack.

Experimental Turret + Defences:

Basic Turret:
Not so basic - Pop up, 5 shot scatter, and hide.

AP Turret:
This one will be hard to do, I want it to 'fire an armor - piercing laser beam That can kill the player behind cover'

Chaingun turret:
Already Done, a rex - esque super-rapid fire chaingun, fires LOTS (I mean LOTS!) of plasma, and It doesnt stop. You gotta sneak by it (not telling you how )

Mini - Bosses:

-Jumper Turrets (They don't actually jump... they hover)
-Mod 0 L-Sat (the L stands for 'Laser', Sat is 'Satelite&apos
-Mod 3 C-Sat (C is 'chaingun', Sat is 'satelite&apos

More to come!

you could emit a long sliver of gas for the AP turret...
actually, you maybe could emit moving gas bullets? ive never tried.

well... the problem is that the gas can't be emitted all the times because the rest of the level is in the way. So i'm going to have to emit a really-really fast moving block of gas.2009-08-05 01:52:00
