So I was trying to ace Serpentine Shrine today (yes I know, I should have done this a long time ago!) and I got up to the boss before losing a single life. Naturally frustrated I decided to see if I could finish the level with only one life lost. Imagine my suprise when I finished the level to discover an aced sign next to the bedge - and the aced prize also showing. So is this meant to happen? I thought it was meant to be done without losing any lives. This happened to anyone else?

I definately died because I got respawn at a checkpoint after a bomb blew me up! I hope it wasn't another bug with story mode, because I like being lucky.

My guess is that it's yet another glitch, but either way you were extremely lucky. Plus, I've never heard something like this happen before.

Serpant Shrine, you say? *flashback to November* I really wanted the cowboy hat, so I kept trying to ace this. On one attempt, I died near the end, much like yourself. Also like you, I wanted to see if I could get to the end without dying again. And I did. And I got the hat. *end flashback* So yes, it's happened to me. I've never posted it because, as usual, I foolishly assumed it was one of those 'common knowledge' situations.

Meh, I really don't care about acing levels, unless I really enjoy it, other than that, I'd just finish the level, and never touch it again..

i tryed it about 3 times til i aced it (i know how the bomb system work so i know when i most bring the bomb and when not)

I wish this bug would happen to me, because I'm too poor a player to ace most of the story levels. If I complete a level, it's often on my last life. The chance of me actually completing a level without losing a life is about the same chance I'd have of growing wings and flying to the moon. :blush: Sadly, I've had to accept that I'll never get most of the unlockable costume accessories.

It's common that you probably hit abit of fire or whatever, but you just missed it. Everytime I fight a boss, I turn my head around and make myself shocked.

Something similar to this happened to me. I'm almost positive I haven't yet aced the level you get the Box Hat in, or the level you get the Devil Horns in. But I got on LBP and just found them in my inventory...Which level do you ace to get them?

With me it was the other way 'round. I aced Serpent Shrine once, then the next day my cowboy costume was gone; there had been a problem with the save, apparently. Since then I've tried numerous times, but I never managed to ace it again.
