The Canyon Saga IIresistance1 Dodge fireballs, swing over fire, swing around sponge and meet Zapata in this action-packed thrill ride of a sequel! all This is obviously a sequel to my previous level (Look in the sig!) . So, No. 2. You arrive at Zapata's hidden lair and once in it, dodge the various traps he has set for you. This one's quite a bit darker than the first , and incorporates a small tribute to the new 50-layer glitch, see if you can spot it! Sorry no screenshots, I'm not really sure how to do it. If anyone could tell me, that'd be great! | 2009-08-02 22:15:00 Author: resistance1 Posts: 812 |
I'm playing this level as I'm typing. Pro: + I like the detail of the flooring and the rocks. Reminds me of the story mode. + I like the camera view up the hill. + The materials used went well with the theme. Con: - The extremely worn bridge didn't look extremely worn lol. - Had a frustrating time with the spinning burning wheels. Another wheel should be added at the top for easier access to the next platform. Well detailed level. I gave :star::star::star::star: To add screenshots, play the level, go into stickers and functions select take a photo, take a photo of the area of choice then press R1 to go to My Pictures. Press square on the photo and export to HDD and wait for upload. A message should pop up saying it's done. Then with a USB memory stick connected to your Ps3, press your PS button and go to Photo in the XMB (Might kick you out of the game to do this). Select your photo and press triangle to copy to your card. Then insert your card into your PC and it should be in the PICTURES folder. Now you can attach that photo to your level showcase via attachments for other people to enjoy! I played this one before today It was a good level. But I think it could use some polishing. (I leaved like,3 comments about a bug that I found and that you should include some more Checkpoints xD) Check out the comments on the level and you will hopefully find some useful feedback. | 2009-08-03 23:08:00 Author: Mnniska Posts: 531 |
Excellent, I'm a huge fan of your earlier work. I'll check this out now | 2009-08-03 23:34:00 Author: Aurongel Posts: 221 |
Wow, I gots myself a huge fan! That's two now! *Explodes* Anyway, thanks for your comments, as soon as my PS3 stops being slow, I'll take a look at them... Which is... Not now. Ok, I'll reply to MrTran first. Erm, the extremely worn bit was meant to be a red herring, you know, to make the player expect that it was going to collapse . I suppose I could stick a couple of cracks on. And, the spinning burning wheels - Even I'm frustrated by them. Well, I guess I'll make it a little bit easier, if it's that much too hard. Jesus, my PS3's still loading . I'll get back to Mnniska as soon as it stops being rubbish. Ok, I managed to somehow stop my PS3 from being lazy. That bug sounds strange, I've never encountered it. I'll make sure I glued the checkpoint in place. Also, I don't think there's much of a problem with the checkpoints, I'll bump a couple up to double, and maybe one up to infinity, but not all of them. That would be far too easy. Anything to say on the actual level, apart from them two problems? Any pros, any cons, apart from the bugs? | 2009-08-04 10:55:00 Author: resistance1 Posts: 812 |
Ok, I've made the changes and am just testing for any glitches they may have caused. And... there are none that I can see. Edit: Have republished the level. | 2009-08-04 16:45:00 Author: resistance1 Posts: 812 |
Representation.Pretty.Sequel. I played both of the levels so I new I was giving the best feedback I could. I love the visuals on this. Most of the time anyway. It looks like an Mm level - sadly though, both of your levels start and feel pretty similar overall to the Mm canyon levels. Not enough new stuff really. I loved the cracks and holes everywhere and the obvious detial in all three layers. But where the levels fell down was their similarities to Mm. It's great if you can capture the feeling of an Mm level, maybe a similar ride or challenge here and there - but this felt completely ripped from story mode, but with less charm. I think a bit more humour (like on the old bridge section) would have gone a long way. Overall though I liked it - 3 stars from me | 2009-08-04 17:17:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |

I suppose I could try to put a bit more humour in... Like a Mm level, but without the charm? The nerve! What exactly would class as "charm," though? Just so I can make a Mm level, but with the charm! :star: First off the bat, I loved the dude in the sombrero with the floppy arms. really nicely animated! :star: the bridge scare was a nice touch. :star: lol @ "tee-hee-hee!" Indeed. :star: The second wheel flinger, with the half-fire wheels: Man, The timing on the 4'th one up is viscous! you might want to rotate it a little to give the player a little more slack. the ones after that are a breeze, comparatively. :star: OMG! Did you just beg for a heart while I was in the middle of a Jump? REALLY? That's a pretty creative way to get players to down-rate you. ----- All, in all, I liked this level. Except, some parts of it seemed strangely....familliar...like I've encountered them somewhere.....before. On the other-hand on alot of the standard elements, you put enough of a twist on them to keep them from being completely clich?. I though it was totally worth playing. with just a few little tweaks, it could be very good. when you get a moment, I'd love a review of one of my F4F levels. | 2009-08-05 13:13:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |

Right, Erm, the guy in the sombrero was Mm-made. Though compliments on him are stiil welcome. Yeah the bridge is perfect in every respect, if I do say so myself. :arg: I like the timing. It makes me want to torture a kitten (A good thing). The beg for a heart was fine IMO. It's not as if it makes you fall to a fiery death. And it's hardly a beg, it's more of a polite request. Familiar... Yes, I thought that, yet I can't quite place it. Maybe the Wilderness? It is totally worth playing of course. I'll review your F4F levels as soon as I have a moment. | 2009-08-06 18:58:00 Author: resistance1 Posts: 812 |
