The PlayStation Portable port of LittleBigPlanet (http://kotaku.com/tag/littlebigplanet/) may be expanding its downloadable content offerings with the addition of "purchased levels," as spied in the most recent playable version of the game. Siliconera (http://www.siliconera.com/2009/07/30/littlebigplanet-psp-menu-shows-purchased-levels/) spotted the menu option during a recent playtest of the PSP game, a choice that sits alongside "story levels" and "downloaded levels." Clearly, "purchased" and "downloaded" could easily overlap, but Sony may be setting us up for more pay-to-play content.
Not that that's such a bad thing. There are plenty of Sackboy costumes and accessories up for sale, but little in the way of professionally created LittleBigPlanet (http://kotaku.com/tag/littlebigplanet/) levels. Media Molecule (http://kotaku.com/tag/media-molecule/)'s Alex Evans recently discussed the option of selling some of that downloadable content (http://kotaku.com/5310254/media-molecule-envisions-littlebigplanet-backwards-compatibility-for-possible-sequel) to owners of a possible LittleBigPlanet 2, but didn't provide much in the way of specifics.
Hey, if it means getting LBP levels on par with the Metal Gear Solid-themed releases, we're all for it. Let's start making better use of those Team ICO costumes, 'kay?
Splendid, but why aren't we getting this in the PS3 version?!

They'll start doing it soon on the PS3 no doubt. Well, if they do it on the PSP Version that is2009-08-01 21:50:00

I'm still not convinced. Does this mean that people will be abl to sell their own levels?

I don't understand what's new?

It even happened with the PS3 version (MGS pack). They only need to make new big packs that's all. Or medium packs made out of the stuff and materials we already have BUT sold for less.

I don't exactly understand here. Does this mean that Mm are going to release level packs for the PSP version, or does it mean people will be able to sell their own levels? I sure hope it's not the latter.2009-08-02 15:21:00

All of the purchasable levels will be professionably made, I don't know if by MM or some other company.2009-08-02 16:47:00

Seeing as there are 20 less levels in the psp I think this is there way to make up for it. Sounds pretty good imo.2009-08-05 11:39:00
