Sharing Great Levels
Archive: 9 posts
Hi guys, here in LBP we have a lot of good creators, and an awesome amount of levels, since this is a great community both quality and quantity wise, but there are a lot of real cool levels from unknown people, JPN people and creators from other forums/sites. Since one of the purpose of LBP is to share, I would find great if the recommended section could be expanded and improved, maybe with a topic with a list of the better levels from sackast.com, the best levels from lbpworkshop, a section with the best authors, levels from JPN.... Something a little more neat, clean and easier to use, more organized and weekly updated perhaps, and some kind of incentive (like a bunch of exp) to share levels and open quality topics with pics, vids and whatever. | 2009-07-31 09:01:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Yep, that would be cool! | 2009-07-31 09:35:00 Author: Miglioshin Posts: 336 |
Just a question about the Japanese ones... are there THAT much? Because I've hardly come across 2 japanese levels, as far as I remember. I wouldn't say that this improvement on the recommendations section would be bad, but I feel that it isn't that necessary. But I, personally, it's not like if I visit that section much, so I might be completely mistaken. What I can really see as a good idea it's the exp for reccomendating good levels; everybody loves exp, and besides, it would "enforce" the recommendations section, wich is good! | 2009-07-31 10:49:00 Author: Keldur Posts: 628 |

If you search for 'JPN' within LBP, you're sure to find lots of pages of great Japanese levels. Some are difficult to understand if you don't speak the language, but a huge majority are very enjoyable. | 2009-07-31 11:02:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
If somone recommends a good JPN level it could even give a walkthrough for the parts difficult to understand. | 2009-07-31 11:11:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

Great idea! One of my biggest frustrations with LBP is the fact that I can't have brilliant beautiful levels to play in a neatly organized queue... (I refuse to search in-game anymore). If Mm could basically transpose everything discussed in these forums into the actual game (community spotlight, IGN, etc., LBP would be 10x more addicting! Oops! this is under 'site feedback' I guess the first sentence relates to this thread...the second one is me venting about the game! | 2009-08-03 12:41:00 Author: miltonTPS Posts: 126 |
Isn't this exactly what the 'Recommendations' section is for? | 2009-08-03 12:57:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
Yes, but recommendation is: a bit messy, or better unorganized. It could be organized with a little more space in a better way, dividing levels from creator from other sites/forum (no one is on all the LBP forums), discussions about creators that are not on any forums, and most of all presenting and promoting levels in a proper way, like people here present their own. Remeber the "share" aspect. | 2009-08-03 13:01:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
This indeed would be a great addition! But are you saying to include subforums in Recommendations or have a completely new section? | 2009-08-03 13:10:00 Author: FlameAtNight Posts: 405 |
