Help With LBP

Archive: 8 posts

Hey, I was wonder if somebody can help with the following problems?

1) Anytime I'm about to load a level the game will hiccup... it'll freeze for a few seconds and resume.

2) When in a level and I hit a checkpoint it'll do the same thing hiccup/freeze. The Level "Get a Grip" (I think its the second level in the game). Is a prefect example of what I'm experiencing.

3) When at the finish line the same thing happens.

I don't remember this happing before... is anyone else experiencing this? Its driving me crazy.

note: I notice this issue both on-line and off-line and I have the latest patch installed 1.17

Thank you

Such problems are either because of your PS3 or the disk, nothing o do with online-stuff.

So iether your disk is dirty or scratched or maybe you might wanna start saving up for a new PS3 m8...
So yeah, try cleaning your disk and your PS3 if it has a lot of dust accumulated, if all else fails, then your PS3 is probably losing the ability to read Disks... :/
(Btw, are you Unknown from AF?)

I'v never notice any other issue with any of the games that I have... maybe I'm wording my issue wrong...

I found a perfect example on youtube!!! The video is 9:33 long but you only need to see the part starting at 1:16 for the loading hiccup and part 5:58 for the finish line hiccup.

That is strange then...
Do you clean your PS3 frequently?
Let it gather dust and it'd can become obsolete pretty soon m8.
Also check on the disks every now and then for any scratches or dirt.
It could also be the disk itself. (The disk is deffective)
Do you know anyone else who has a copy of LBP?

If so you can ask them to let you borrow it and check how it works like that to see if its the disk or something else.

That gameplay in the video was actually pretty smooth...
Are the hiccups that small/ unnoticable?
If so then that might be nothing m8.
Altho if its pretty often, or thefreeze time's longer, then there's a problem.

I've confirmed it!! I'm not the only one with the problem just about ever youtube video I seen is have the same issue... I knew it wasn't my System or disc.

Silverleon I appreciate you're help... but don't always assume it's the System or the Disc that are having problems it's sometimes the game... games are not always perfect and have flaws.

I apologize if my last paragraph came off rude...

i don't think there that unnoticeable If you recall what I mention earlier in my post it's only when you load a level and when you reach the finish... also some times when you hit a checkpoint.

Again, Thanks for the help
