AHHHH i cry at how stupid lbp is when it spams that annoying message "blablabla your profile is to big try deleting my levels, my pictures, my objects, my costumes to stop this message spamming up on your screen every 5 seconds and ruining the level your playing"

Cant mediamolecule see this is ruining the game, along with the fact that when you copy your data on to another acount you cant do ****.

Who else thinks this? Should MM inprove the space? if its possible?

Cuz i have to delet anything I LOVE if its stickers, costumes, or objects.

And its more annoying when you play a level it has TONES of photobooths, cant there be a way to disable this?

I can't say much, but I can assure you confusedcartman is right.

btw, I'm disappointed. I was hoping this was a suggestion for new tags in the game. I would like to throw bollocks into the raffle hat please.

I just de1337 junk objects I don't need in my popit. I also de1337 levels that I don't work on anymore. That's how I avoid the message so I won't have to suffer the same fate as everyone else (by de1337ing precious objects and costume I hold near and dear to my heart).

And on a side note, imagine the tag "supercalifragilisticexpialidoclous". That would rox my sox.

1. There's nothing you can't do/ get when copying a save file except not get trophies.
This is done because save files can e uploaded to sites like Gamefaqs and such where anyone can downlod them and use them. (Which many do)
So that would really make trophies attainable extremely easy and would be like "cheating."

2. SONY is the one that controls how much space can be used by each game as far as i know, so blaming Mm for it its wrong, and as Ninja/ CC already said, they ARE woking on that.

3. There IS a way to turn off the photobooths and to not collect community objects, it was added since Cornish Yarg.
Just go to preofile settings in the Pause menu and it should show the options to turn on/ off comunity objects and photobooths.

There we go.
Was that clear?

Use a workshop type level , stick everything you don't use currently in there, saves your profile space, and also saves deleting things for good. I must say mine is quite messy at the moment, but it contains all the switches and things I use, as well as community items I find useful.

If you also back it up to your remote moon, you've got no worries if you're profile ever goes corrupt.

I have this problem too but only because I'm a terrible pack rat on my moon. Silverleon's suggestions are the best way to help manage this little annoyance.

They can't fix this soon enough for me...I'm probably done creating levels until they do, I'm tired of shuffling stuff around! That said I don't think we should be blaming SONY...

While it *may* be true that a game is required to reserve a fixed amount of space for the main save data upfront this certainly can't apply to new content created in-game. At the time you try to create a level it can check if you have space, etc. Each level should be a separate save file, MM's BIG mistake was glopping them all together. It's no different than exporting pictures from LBP to the hd, the user is specifically requesting a new file to be created.

Now if someone can produce actual documentation from SONY that contradicts my claim (or text from an actual MM developer) that creating separate files is surely allowed I'll be happy to join you on the blame SONY bandwagon. I don't want a single 10 gig save file that's really stupid especially with how levels can become corrupted; you don't want your main save data with your costumes, etc. or other levels being affected.

IMHO it's MM's fault because it's their game and it's a game that's all about user created content, it was their responsibility to work this out before the game shipped.

I don't usually. I think I published twenty, and only deleted 5 on my moon. After you've deleted them on my moon, can you copy them back on using the published save? Just in case I want to edit one.

Did that make sense?

ya, you can copy them back to your moon if you delete them. just go to the published version, make it locked/copyable (dont want anyone else copying it, right?), then copy it to your moon. afterwards, go make your level unlocked and uncopyable (new word, its mine!) so people can keep playing it.

It is very annoying when it crops up every 10 seconds. But I seriously hate the fact that it stops all control until you press X. Why can't they have it be a message similar to friend score messages. I wouldn't mind if they kept the message the same centre-screen box, just stop the control-blocking. 2009-08-07 00:20:00

You don't have to lock it and make it copyable, there's a button that says "Copy" (on your published level) specifically made and only for the level publisher.
It should be in the area that contains the ability to change the level title and other things.

ya, thats right. i've never done this method, instead i did it the hard way and continued creating on a different profile.

Ok...I'll attempt to break down this encrypted message.

"big improvements" = big + improvements
big = more...as in space (Yaaaaaaayyyyy)
improvements = this is too subjective to lock down.

But anyway...big = more...as in space (Yaaaaaaayyyyy)

Why don't you put that in a nice simple formula?

B = Big
I= Improvements
M = More... As in space

(B-I)=M
I=(M-B)
B=(M+I)

There, now the casual mathematician (With an advanced higher in advanced mathematology) will be able to understand what RickRock was saying.
