Ok, let's start from the beginning.

AESTHETICS.
Maaaaaan, it's an IMPORTANT THING y'know?
From the first sight I KNEW you didn't care much about of it.
But I told to myself ''let's continue''.

First big, big, BIG issue.
The sponge you use to glide down DOESN'T respawn, that it's not a big issue itself BUT YOU BUILT SPIKES RIGHT TO THE END OF THE RAIL!!!!!!
WHY?
And sackboy isn't even able to activate the lower checkpoint while passing!!!!!
So I restarted until I finally luckily menaged to fall in the right place... and that was five to six times!
I thought: I will stress this issue to the author, let's continue...''

Then I pulled the switch and entered that odd grass hills with a plain raw stone behind segment, and take my time to figure out the hidden passage.
Fallen.

Reached the gravity puzzle with that glitched rubber grabbale balls (I assume), glitched for no purpose at all and this is useless, imho.

Spent like ten minutes wrestling with them to let them fall down the ramp and opened the door with the cog.

Next floor I dragged the number nine (the only possible otherwise the others would have fallen down the stairs), the glitched dissolve rubber 'door' blocking the way dissolved.

I saw the rusty metal wall, tried to jump in front, in the back, backtracked... but nothing happened at all.

What exactly am I supposed to do after that?

Honestly I hadn't the willpower to continue to gadder around aimlessly so I quitted.

My suggestions are the following:

1 - Try to focus more on letting the player understand what to do next by himself (this means: DO NOT USE RED ARROWS ALL OVER THE WAY, use cameras angles i.e.).

2 - Dress your level, is it really and island? I don't think so...

3 - Choose your materials carefully, take 5 or 6 complimentary materials and start to build some kind of enviroment (you told it is the island of zed, not me, so be sure at least it barely reminds of an island...).

4 - Don't allow the player to see dark matter!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never!!!!!!! it's useful but AWFUL!

Since I saw a small bit of your level (I think) due to inability to proceed further, and not by my fault (I guess), imho this issues will become your top priority if you really care about your level.

So... go to work! lol

Due to the issues mentioned before I rated :star::star: (needs improvements).

I think the idea you have behind the desing of the level is something interesting, but, like we say here in Italy, since no one born as a master, open up your moon and "continue" workin on your level.

And test it personally, but also have it tested from someone else (preferrably someone who has no problems telling you it sucks if it is the raw truth).

So, I had quite all my levels spotlighted (Legend of a hero was mentioned but not spotlighted because at that time there were a minimum rate of activity in the forum to enter the spotlight...) BUT my first levels was just like your and suffered the same problems (or more); you can't find them because they seemed so junky and thrashy to me by now that I deleted them.

So, don't feel kind of daunted and continue working on your level, the results will come for sure.

I will keep an eye to your progresses.

you dont need the sponge to glide down if u die from the spikes, just jump on the glass and slide down.the balls are cement in the middle and sponge outside to make it weigh more.and its not a rusty wall, its an elevator, just hold r1 when inside,u havnt got to the island yet that is why it dont look like an island.play a little more when u get time, and i will work on those things u said.thanks for playing and the advise.2009-07-28 19:06:00
