Dizzyness?!!?

Archive: 6 posts

It's on obstacle coarse where the camera shifts and moves and changes a TON....
Is that platform moving? Am I moving? Is the camera moving? Whats going on?

Like the Idea?

Hmmm would be possible.

ALOT of dark matter boss's with a magnetic key switch at one point, then at the other side a piston moving magnetic key, and the magnetic key switch is hooked up to diffrent camera.

When you move along the earth quake simulater would mess up platforms and such.

Not sure i like it all too much. Dizzyness has its place, but if its annoying, not many people will rate your level well.

Vertigo! by Cuzfeesh (sp?) (or Ccubage on this site) has somewhat of a "dizzying" experience, i reccomend you check it out.

I'd most likely get frustrated. That sounds like a very niche type of level to me. I don't like when the camera goes askew from someone falling in multiplayer, why would I want that to be happening all the time, intentionally nonetheless? Of course this is just my opinion, and other people may enjoy that style of level/challenge, I clearly don't speak for everyone. 2009-07-27 21:23:00

I think it's cool when it's done for effect in a part of a level, ex. earth quake. I thought the end of Aperture Science 3 where the camera shakes as stuff is falling apart was really well done. I'd find it annoying if it was the entire level.2009-07-27 22:15:00

The idea itself is easily possible, but it's just a matter of making it not too hard, but not ridiculously easy. Other then that I really like the idea.2009-07-28 09:28:00
