This week on the store: InFAMOUS
Archive: 66 posts
<strong>Danger:</strong> Pun levels are high – <em>Amp</em>le warning has been given! Whilst thinking of new costumes to make, some <em>bright spark</em> had an <em>electrifying</em> idea, one that might not <em>shock</em> anyone but one that was certainly quite <em>current</em> and one we just couldn’t <em>OHM</em>it. This week on the PSN store will be a costume based on is-he-good-or-is-he-evil <em>loose wire</em> Cole MacGrath, electric super power possessing protagonist of recent PS3 game InFAMOUS. It comes in both flavours too, Good and Evil. <img src="http://www.mediamolecule.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Evil-HD-600x337.jpg" alt="LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Evil-HD" title="LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Evil-HD" width="600" height="337" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1688" /> <img src="http://www.mediamolecule.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Good-HD-600x337.jpg" alt="LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Good-HD" title="LBPDLCSONYCO0018-Infamous-Good-HD" width="600" height="337" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1692" /> We love this costume so much it <em>hertz</em>. OK I?d better <em>pull the plug</em> on these re<em>volt</em>ing puns before somebody <em>blows a fuse</em>! ------------------------- "This week on the store: InFAMOUS" is an automatically posted news item which was grabbed from MediaMolecule.com (www.mediamolecule.com). I knew it, I absolutely knew that was coming sooner or later!! Well, the electric orb looks pretty sweet! | 2009-07-27 17:32:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
the only difference between the good and evil side is the color of the orb :/ I want the skin that cole has when he's evil. also zwollie, ^typo up there. | 2009-07-27 17:41:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
You WATT!!!? (sorry) One of the best costumes yet. I'm not even a fan of inFamous but I am definitely getting this! | 2009-07-27 17:43:00 Author: persona3fan93 Posts: 155 |
This has certainly sparked my interest. And to all of you without a pun in your post, you should be ashamed. My guess is that we will be charged around 3 euro/$4/?2. | 2009-07-27 17:58:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
This should give the appropriate jolt the community needs to start loving MM's costumes again! I doubt it will cost that much. It's only really one costume, so it'll probably be $1.50. But who knows... Some great new DLC that's been popping up lately! | 2009-07-27 18:03:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
Wait, I'm confused about the Orbs, and the Evil Look, are they actually obtainable? | 2009-07-27 18:16:00 Author: Ryutei Posts: 244 |
To all of you without a pun, I just want to say: Watt are you thinking and wire you not putting in the effort? @ the costumes, it's alright, nothing that special though. | 2009-07-27 18:29:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
It would be so cool if the Electricity sparked when you slapped someone with it | 2009-07-27 18:35:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
I -jumped- when I saw this. Oh god that was a bad pun. | 2009-07-27 18:39:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
@ the costumes, it's alright, nothing that special though. Agreed. Not having played inFamous, it really doesn't intrigue me that much. Bring on the Marvel costumes! | 2009-07-27 18:41:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
EPIC! Can't wait. inFamous was a great game, even if it was too short. | 2009-07-27 19:16:00 Author: dandygandy2704 Posts: 1002 |
Seems really nice but there should have been more difference between good en evil... | 2009-07-27 19:21:00 Author: Little B.I.G Posts: 4 |
Hm... anyone else get the idea that it's blue when you're happy, red when your mad? You know, the D pad emotions? Seems like that may be it... though it would also incorporate sad and scared somewhere... but those costumes don't look too different to me personally, outside of the face (which is done by expressions) and the color of the ball. | 2009-07-27 19:24:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

If they did that, that would be kinda lame, because then if you wanted to have the red one, you'd have to walk around angry all the time... I noticed the sameness of the clothes, too, which kinda disappointed me, seeing as there was a really huge difference between Hero and Infamous outfits in the game... | 2009-07-27 19:25:00 Author: dandygandy2704 Posts: 1002 |
this is one costume that packs a punch that i am a sucker for! Why even staring at it gives me a electric shock, and then jolts, me and then i want even more! | 2009-07-27 19:50:00 Author: RipTlde Posts: 151 |
woah. They look awesome! *lip quivers* This might be the first costumes we'll buy! | 2009-07-27 20:05:00 Author: FlameAtNight Posts: 405 |
That was unexpected and color me totally uninterested. This sounds like a big missed opportunity for a tool where you should electrified balls kinda like the plasma balls. That would have been an awesome power-up for Sackboy. . | 2009-07-27 20:22:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

OMG. DO WANT. How is that electric orb going to work? | 2009-07-27 21:06:00 Author: TheMarvelousHat Posts: 542 |
OMG. DO WANT. How is that electric orb going to work? I believe you equip it as a hand item from your costume list and then it sits there. And possibly gives off some light. Should be... uh.. yeah. Kinda meh. | 2009-07-27 21:13:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Aww man........delayed until next week..... | 2009-07-27 21:17:00 Author: Flare Skull Posts: 216 |
It sometimes becomes apparent to me that my days on LBP might be numbered... I am a subset of a subset. A sack cut from a very disinterested cloth... color me shocked... a costume? really? generating this much buzz... I am out of the loop-- Mm maintains the static quo... | 2009-07-27 21:25:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
Okay.....they delayed it.....so may i suggest they add his hair and mustache? seriously...my friend Alp made a better version of cole without even having this dlc......at least a new skin would be nice | 2009-07-27 21:31:00 Author: Flare Skull Posts: 216 |
yes you could say this costume will be shockingly expensive....**** wish they would make a patch to make sackboy fat, skinny, tall, etc. so i can do family guy infamous crossover and create ELECTRIC MAN i could see it now hehe.... It would be great if smacking people with the electrified ball hand killed them and triggered the electricution animation, though that would be terribly frustrating and unfair. | 2009-07-27 21:53:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
It would be great if smacking people with the electrified ball hand killed them and triggered the electricution animation, though that would be terribly frustrating and unfair. Yeah but it would drive up sales in aid of revenge killings | 2009-07-27 22:00:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
awsome i want the electric bal | 2009-07-27 23:05:00 Author: Unknown User |
Nice! I have the real game though. I'm evil. But I like good, but then I hate blue. So I like evil, but I still like blue. Get it? lol | 2009-07-27 23:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
Though this costume certainly has potential, I think charging more than 2 USD would cause serious resistance. And Ohm my God, could we please stop the current wishing for all sorts of vanity powerups that will make us happy for ten minutes while grounding the development leads as they try to step-up the overall gameplay? (NOTE: I don't really begrudge others their desire for new gameplay so much...I just needed a way to put Ohm into a sentence.) Shorting more obvious, easy-to-do improvements - like a Photograph Only Yourself tool, more materials types, transparency tweaks, new audio objects, etc. - in favor of letting Sackboys shoot plasma will only increase the amount of time we have to wait for serious upgrades. Watt's more, you could make multiple projects run in parallel. I was amped to see the MGS pack, but a Monsters Pack every quarter, or an ICO Pack once every two months, would be just as conductive to my creative impulses. So let's sing anode to Mm for trying as hard as they do to please all these radicals in the community. I just wanted to throw my opinion into the static, and diode it to Mm to defend their costume choices...they made a grown man love Legos again. I have just rocked all of your punning FACES. I hereby cast the gauntlet down. Let's see some circuit board puns! | 2009-07-28 02:49:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |

Dang! defeated by an oversight...I also was trying to complete the odes, but I don't know any puns that wouldn't involve someone named Cathy, who owed me some money. Then the whole thing would have rattled apart from its own tortured resonance. | 2009-07-28 06:33:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
More costumes! Yes! 200 wasn't enough for me. Nosiree. | 2009-07-28 07:04:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Wait. Did you just basically "meh" at an inFamous costume while rocking an inFamous sig block? I can taste the irony like ozone! Mans, you are awesome. And I totally mean that in a non-mean-spirited way. | 2009-07-28 07:12:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
The costume is good, the electric ball is awesome, the ability to walk on electrified zones using this outfit is marvelous... What else do you want? | 2009-07-28 08:10:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

It would be great if smacking people with the electrified ball hand killed them and triggered the electricution animation, though that would be terribly frustrating and unfair. What if it just zapped you a bit if you shook hands or something. Nothing deadly.. just a mild friendly ZAP! | 2009-07-28 17:06:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
That costume looks shockingly nice and if they don't charge us much I might just well buy it. On a side-note, hooray for cheesy puns! | 2009-07-28 17:43:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |

Interesting gear for this Sacky...possibly Class A in my book...and I'm not being biased. If we took a pole regarding the popularity of this costume, the general consensus might serve to both bridge our minds, and rectify opposing views. | 2009-08-03 04:00:00 Author: RickRock_777 Posts: 1567 |
I'm not buying more sticker packs unless they're something I -must- have. I want the image import tool. As for costumes they need to either A: Make a Tower of London guard (because of the MEGALOL yes?) B: Top my own MJ mask or C: Make something cooler than the Anubis mask. | 2009-08-03 15:33:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
