How do I send my friends a level key?

Archive: 7 posts

My currently locked level (Gothic Reverie II) is just about ready to publish as an unlocked level, but I'd really like some of my online friends to playtest it before launch. Thing is, I'm not sure how to do this. Unlocking the level would make it accessible to any random player, so I don't want to do that yet, but I'm not sure how to give my friends the key which appeared in my inventory when I first published the level. I know it's possible to send people items, but I'm not sure how. Any help here?2009-07-27 12:35:00

What you do is open your popit and select the bottem left set of tools, find the key you want to send and press square on it and then choose send to a friend...2009-07-27 15:23:00

Or if you want it to be secret..
Use an emitter to emit the key, attach a Sticker Switch and use a sticker to activate.

There's alot of ways.

Sending keys is not a good way to do it, as the key forever stays in your friend's popit.

A way around this is to capture a key and send the captured object to your friend. Then, he/she can place it in a blank level, save, play, and collect they key for his/her self.

Soon, you say. Good, I keep heading over to your page everytime I see you publish the locked version, only to be disappointed

Hmmm, it appears I have nothing to add to the topic, beyond what others have said, so I'll leave now...

^ Thanks all, I'll go with the capture and send option so people don't get stuck with the key in their inventory.

rtm223, as you're an online friend and gave me some valuable feedback on the original Gothic Reverie, I've just sent you a capture of the first and only key to be given out so far. Please PM me to give feedback on GRII if you got the time.
