http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=881&stc=1&d=1248641210 Announced at Comic-Con today were new Marvel costumes for LittleBigPlanet. The costumes you see are concepts - they may or may not be the final version. Seen here are (left to right) Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain America, but could other Marvel content be coming as well? Keep your eyes peeled for more details and pricing in the coming weeks. | 2009-07-26 21:48:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

Where's Captain Canuck? | 2009-07-26 22:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
Nice, Wolverine costume looks cool. They should make costumes from VIZ or Shounen Jump (Anime networks) next. XD | 2009-07-26 22:15:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

They look so cool plus we get new boots and new gloves lovin this pack. | 2009-07-26 22:43:00 Author: Mod5.0 Posts: 1576 |
Nice! Now I just need to see 1 or 2 more costumes as awesome as that and I will definitely buy it. All 3 are great so far anyway. | 2009-07-26 23:12:00 Author: persona3fan93 Posts: 155 |
People have wanted these for a long time, just add spiderman and then people will have to stop posting annoying levels about how to build 108247 different spidey-costumes! | 2009-07-26 23:34:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |
Look at that shiny Iron man, looks great!! They seem to have a lot of plans for new franchise based costumes lately. | 2009-07-26 23:42:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Even though those are "concept renders" I think we can safely say they'll look pretty close to those renders. Looks great. | 2009-07-27 00:20:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
I know this is the wrong place for this, but I'd prefer if comic books were, well, smaller, and not have a bunch of crazy multiverses and aliens and all that. the concept of X-men being a discriminated against brand of humanity would work so well if it wasn't for the millions of other super heroes flying around <_> But yeah, look good, probably won't get unless they come with a major pack though... | 2009-07-27 00:43:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
All three look great. This is the first 'costume only' pack I am (and have been) actually excited about (no offense to all you fine other costume packs out there). | 2009-07-27 00:55:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Wow I love Wolverine and Iron Man. Captain A isn't too shabby either! Like someone else said, all they need is Spiderman (and maybe the Green Goblin or Venom!) and it's 200x epic-er than any other costume pack | 2009-07-27 01:05:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
Now those are costumes I will buy and seem to buck the trend of the crap they have realised over the last few months | 2009-07-27 01:14:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
People have wanted these for a long time, just add spiderman and then people will have to stop posting annoying levels about how to build 108247 different spidey-costumes! I agree, but they're gonna charge for it, and because of this, many people will continue to make Spiderman tutorials. | 2009-07-27 03:09:00 Author: Ryutei Posts: 244 |
I'll buy them obviously, but as someone already said, I want Shounen Jump costume (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach...or even old mangas like Jo-Jo, *******!!, Saint Seiya or Fist Of The North Star) Sony and MM are not considering how much this Japanese manga add on would push up the sales in Japan. | 2009-07-27 06:51:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Awesome, took these long enough!!! Levels PLEASE!!! | 2009-07-27 07:24:00 Author: Theap Pleman Posts: 670 |
Heh, I was wondering how fast this was going to make it to the web... but that was literally minutes when Mark presented it at the Marvel panel. I just remember telling him after he came back to our Sony booth and he was surprised! xD | 2009-07-27 08:10:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Actually I would have expected DC characters (since the collaboration SOE/DC for DC Online), so Superman, Batman and some fan favourites. Maybe we would have them both...I prefer Marvel chars anyway. Donkey/Gevurah, would you be so gentle to point out to Mark the business of the manga costumes? Actually we've had British comics, we're going to have American comics, we should need Japanese comics in order to have that multiethnicity and multiculturality that is deep in the concept of LBP. | 2009-07-27 09:03:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Awesome Iron Man costume!!! | 2009-07-27 12:26:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
Best costume pack evur!!111eleven I can't believe they didn't do this sooner, since we know pretty much everyone will want these. | 2009-07-27 12:37:00 Author: mehmeh8 Posts: 25 |
Wolverine costume looks awesome. If the claws can slide in-and-out then it'll be epic. :hero: | 2009-07-27 13:26:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
Maybe they'll make an OFFICIAL level for each hero. | 2009-07-27 13:52:00 Author: Mod5.0 Posts: 1576 |
I can't wait to slap people with Wolverine's claws =D | 2009-07-27 15:01:00 Author: Sackdragon Posts: 427 |
An official level for the costumes? After all those official Heavenly Sword, Ghostbusters, and Paintinator Killzone levels we got? Hmm. I currently calculate that probability at When Pigs Fly%. As for costume levels, I again must grunt. As RockSauron points out, there are a zillion costume reboots out there in the comics universe. If you give me a classic Wolverine, I can make a Movie Wolverine (Wolverine head and claws, PVC costume, stickers); Logan (head and claws, tank top painted white, jeans, cowboy boots), etc. And Spider-Man? There's black, gold, big-eye with webs in the pits, freakin' VENOM... I think I'm done wishing for levels and new functionality. Mm, while definitely awesome and prize-winning, is probably not making as much money off this costume stuff as Sony is. I forgive them. Also, you give me functioning water, and a player will waltz into a level and break something so it pours everywhere. Rather than putting umpteen million guys on one piece of new function, give me one talented lady or gentleman cranking out new Player Colors every month. New Sponge materials without seams. Grab handle widgets you can bolt to wood. And lastly, a Photograph Self option: if you hover the Capture Photo box over a player, let Square take a sticker pic of Just You. Then Costumes become in-level-characters easily, making costume purchases more desirable. Easier to do than new levels, easier to integrate than new toys, less expensive labor costs...and if I make a crap level with new materials, that's my fault. | 2009-07-27 15:16:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
Donkey/Gevurah, would you be so gentle to point out to Mark the business of the manga costumes? Is Sephiroth not enough for you people? | 2009-07-28 03:59:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
All they need now is a Homestarrunner costume pack! | 2009-07-28 04:17:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Is Sephiroth not enough for you people? ... Are you saying what i think you're saying...? You better not be joking... :kz: (Then again you do seem to know alout of Mm's stuff) Awesome! Altho it really has nothing to do with anime or manga except for the fact that he's japanese. (Yet agin they did make a Final Fantasy VII anime episode, so it kinda counts i guess. ) Tho i do agree some anime/ manga costumes would be pretty awesome. But still, Sephiroth costume = Win xM | 2009-07-28 04:36:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Put him and Cloud together, maybe some Tifa, and you could do mashups of almost every Bleach character. | 2009-07-28 06:31:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
Is Sephiroth not enough for you people? It could even be enough...if we had it... | 2009-07-28 08:12:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
