About Character Map
A string of characters to create a character that is not on your keyboard. For example to create the character ? you hold down the Alt key on your keyboard and type 0169 into your number pad, then release the Alt key. Awesome, it's much easier than having to search for each individual symbol in the character map.

Say does this work with the Ps3?

I don't want to come across as being rude but...
the PS3 doesnnt have an 'Alt' button.

Although there IS a little spanner icon, and there you can access a lot of symbols.
Hope this helps.

Perhaps if you are using a USB keyboard though.
I have not tested this yet so I cannot confirm if it will work.
