Game Manual / Song list

Archive: 36 posts

Not sure if this should have been in media or if this has been posted before (Sorry in advance if this is the case) but the full manual for LBP has been posted on the us playstation site

http://fp.scea.com/Content/games/BCUS-98148/manual/manual.pdf

I don't know if it's finished, but I don't think it is 100% done as some images are repeated and don't seem to fit. Awesome and informative nonetheless.

Some interesting tidbits:

Basic explanation of story on first few pages
Lists / explains many tools, most interestingly 'emitters'

That's a very well done game manual. Hopefully the creation tool explanations won't overwhelm people though. I like the Thespian sackboy.

Also some very interesting new information.

-Happy Gadder = another online player.

-Select opens up the 'Good Grief! Menu', this is the grief reporting menu.

-From the start menu, you can access help videos and voiceovers.

-'The first person to enter a level automatically becomes the host and
between levels their personalised POD will become the group?s lobby.''

-If anyone leaves the group, all players will be asked if they would like to follow that particular player.

-There seems to be some placeholder images on page 9.

-to access My Moon you must complete the first
three levels of The Gardens.
(Seems easier than some were hoping)

This may be old to you guys, but in the Playstation Eye section, it says that if you have collected some Playstation Eye stickers, THEN you can take PSEye photos.

Does this mean that you need to collect for the ability to use that?

In anycase, great find, just got done reading that. And iot seems to be written in the "cute" style that LBP is basically about...

Yes I think this does mean you need to collect, in some videos I have seen different shapes of PSEye stickers, (e.g square, round, inside a mouth) and I think you collect these. You must need at least one before you can use the PSEye (can't take long though)

Lol, dood, we already knew that was there, the "Editing Item Properties" was completely different lol. The tweak menu is for bolts & pistons etc, so you can tweak the speed & strength etc etc.

That's epic. Nice find.

Also, I don't think those are ALL the songs. That's probably just what you start off with or something. You may have to collect songs within levels, just like objects or anything else.

Like in MGS4 when you find songs. I dont think that would be important enough to have to find them.2008-09-08 22:41:00

Collectibles or not, they would still credit them in the manual.

No problem, I always save stuff like that, I reckon someone at Sony got a rap over the knuckles for putting it up too early hence the removing of it so quickly.
