ShapesLady_Luck__777 Shapes is not a game level. It is a level for you to get the standard popit shapes in dark matter glass, dissolve glass and "lava" material. all | 2009-07-26 00:56:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 Posts: 3458 |
The lava material might be nice... are the dark matter glass and dissolve glass cowed objects, or combined objects (ie: the glitch where two materials are in the same place? | 2009-07-26 05:16:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
Awesome. :hero: | 2009-07-26 15:11:00 Author: Reef1978 Posts: 527 |
That makes it lag. D: There's a video tutorial somewhere in YT. | 2009-07-26 15:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
Awesome work Lady_Luck__777! Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Even though this is not a level, it is done with creative flare. I really liked the way you dispense, individually, the prize bubbles holding these material shapes. It's nice being able to get only what you want, rather than throwing them into a pit like so many other levels, where you are forced to get them all. Your color scheme was nicely done as well. @Leonardo...Lady has 22 shapes of the glowing red material in this level, and there is absolutely no lag. Lag happens when a creator over-uses a material, or LEDs, or electrified material, etc., etc., and does not take the time to polish the unwanted lag out of a level. So it's not the material itself, it's the creator that is ultimately at fault in their application of the usage of the aforementioned. Personally, I believe your comment is misplaced, and lacks constructive merit. Also, when making a reference to a Video or Tutorial, it is more beneficial to everyone reading when a link to the reference is provided. Rated 5-Stars and hearted, as you are great at sharing! Lady luck, have you tried sharing these materials as a copyable level, to see if that allows them to be shaped by the person who copies it? | 2009-07-26 16:43:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Hey I will definitely check this out! Sounds very useful | 2009-07-26 16:45:00 Author: GrahamLif3 Posts: 386 |

D: There's a video tutorial somewhere in YT. There isn't any lag in the level that I know of. Have you played it? Lady luck, have you tried sharing these materials as a copyable level, to see if that allows them to be shaped by the person who copies it? Not yet. I tried to send someone the alterable material and they said it wouldn't alter. I was waiting on the copyable level because I believe someone else is already working on one and I didn't want to publish before they had a chance to. @ RickRock, Reef1978 and GrahamLif3- Thank you | 2009-07-27 04:19:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 Posts: 3458 |

Thanks a lot. I think that I would put them to good use. | 2009-07-27 07:34:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Thank you so much Lady Luck 777 for taking the time to produce a beautiful level dedicated to sharing materials with other people. If your generosity was a material I don't think there would be enough room in my popit for all of it!! I agree with Rick Rock with regard to the benefit of being able to pick up what you want. I picked up pretty much all of it!!! @Leonardo, I feel completely confident that being such a talented and experienced creator, Lady Luck 777 is more than capable of producing a level with the full underatanding of how things work! | 2009-07-27 09:30:00 Author: IceMaiden Posts: 1057 |
thank you for the generous gifts, its always nice when people keep these for those of us who missed the chance to edit them on our own. | 2009-07-27 09:38:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
Excellent work, Lady_Luck! Thanks very much. There's more effort gone into this production than that of about 80% of levels that I play. As for lag issues, I had no frame-rate drop, nor would I expect any from a creator such as yourself. Some people should perhaps think before they type Cheers, MrsSB | 2009-07-27 18:15:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Thank you! I've been looking for the lava stuff in editable format forever You rock! | 2009-07-27 19:55:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Looking forward to slightly more stickerable glass, and maybe that dissolve stuff. Don't know what cowed means; hope I don't have to learn to care. | 2009-07-28 06:52:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
Thanks all. I hope to add more shapes in other unconventional materials to the level. I was thinking of shapes in other cowed material. Any suggestions you would like to see added? | 2009-07-30 16:53:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 Posts: 3458 |
Thanks for publishing this, the lava will come in very handy in my new level. I've been wondering how to make the 'lava' material, could you maybe let me know? Or has it been patched? | 2009-07-30 17:01:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
I got the lava material from a level called "glitch magma" *something* by hippy1995. It's copyable and shows how to make it yourself (no idea why you'd want to though). For a big collection of dissolve/floaty/dark matter glitched materials there is a copyable level called something like "glitch material collection" by Severn (sp?)...it's easy to find some version of it, many people have posted copies as their own. The presentation on "Shapes" is very cool...but the copyable levels I mentioned let you make any shape you want and use the corner edit tool? But maybe shapes is copyable now too? | 2009-07-30 18:30:00 Author: fullofwin Posts: 1214 |
TJapan also released a cowed material level for site members. Search "50's Diner Key Level". The password once there is "moo9". | 2009-07-31 14:25:00 Author: coyote_blue Posts: 422 |
TJapan also released a cowed material level for site members. Search "50's Diner Key Level". The password once there is "moo9". Are you sure TJapan's level is copyable coyote_blue, as it wasn't the last time checked. Also, it was suggested to Lady by some LBP members here, to not make the level copyable, so it could not be used by H4H'ers...I happen to agree with this approach. So, IMO...Lady could either publish the Shapes level, with materials that can still be used by everyone, although maybe not editable, or publish nothing at all. I think her decision to publsih was a good one, and worthwhile to those that find a use for these materials. Rick | 2009-08-02 18:37:00 Author: RickRock_777 Posts: 1567 |
It's nice to be able to have access to this material, although I have to admit that it's heart-breaking not to be able to edit the materials into my own shapes...it feels alot like using MM objects (not that I havn't used story objects in one of my levels). I think you may be giving H4H'rs a little too much credit for creativity. what are they gonna do with a level of custom material when there's rocket cheetas and tri-buggys to be ripped off? I went through several tutorials trying to make the disolve materials myself only to find later that they were no longer able to be made. It angered me.(rant,rant,etc...blah,blah,blah!) I enjoyed the conveyor belt. After I had gotten the objects I wanted to play with, I came back just to play with the conveyor belt. one of my pet peeves is levels that don't really give a player a choice whether to collect an object or not. I usually keep my option locked into "off" anyway, but it's still nice to be able to pick and choose, and in this level you pulled it off with style. nicely done! I just read above that there is acces to copyable levels with some of these materials, but for quick use, this will do nicely! BTW If I read right, this will be the 20'th comment, so Congrats on shapes's promotion to cool levels! gave your level 4 stars and hearted for future use! | 2009-08-04 06:16:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |
