Multiple Entry Points for 1 - 4 Players.

Hiya all,

Back again with another suggestion.

Wouldn't it be great to have a designated entry point for each player.

Imagine racing with this in mind and you could have two separate obstacles and have them race through them without the other impeding the other player.

Or you could have split screen antics with people starting at different ends of the level and it's the first one to reach the centre or reach the other persons side that wins.

You could even add a counter of no. deaths for each entry checkpoint and have real battles, sack who dies the least wins.

PS3 would burst with split screen so you would have to keep all the sackoy into the screen and the idea would be pointless.
Then add that if you don't enter the game without your PSN friends there's almost 10% chance to be in to a level in 4 people.

The idea per se is good but it's impossible to realize.

I like this idea. There was a help thread ages ago about forcing players to spawn in separate areas for a co-op idea. The mechanic I came up for it worked, but wasn't great. It would open up a lot of opportunities for gameplay involving segregation. And especially if you could spawn from separate points then also have player-bound checkpoints (i.e on death players go to the last checkpoint they activated, rather than a common one).

Split screen would prob be a nightmare, although the physics engine has to calculate everything all the time anyway (bar visual stuff, but each screen only shows half as much visual stuff ). We don't know enough about the engine to say whether this would be possible or not. But even without splitscreen this idea has its uses.
