What qualifies you for highest rated?

| I was just wondering if there was a time limit your level has to be published before it shows up on Highest rated levels? I have a level (less than a week old) with 500 plays and a 5 star average that's not on ANY of the highest rated pages even though around page 3 they are all 4 star levels. Anyone know what qualifies you to be in highest rated levels? | This is where unique plays will come into account, I believe. On cool pages, it just counts current rating multiplied by play count. If you rate a level 3 stars on one playthrough, then 5 stars on the next, it only counts your input on the last rating... this is why you can't say, sign onto another PSN and rate your level 5 stars 500 times to combat the ONE person who 1 starred it. It will stay at a low rating until other unique plays decide to go against the grain and bump the average rating back up to 4 or 5. So, with this in mind, I'd say that highest rated probably takes unique ratings into account. A level can have great replay value, but if only 10 people have 5 starred it hundreds of times, it's really only 10 x 5, rather than 500 x 5. Just a wild guess though... if it is like this, survival games will probably have a terrible time getting onto highest rated. | 2009-07-25 07:08:00 Author: Unknown User  |
| I was wondering if anyone knew why some levels on cool pages (which are all at least 7 days NEW) have better heart to play ratio's and higher star ratings (5 vs 4) than some of the levels on highest rated pages... is this because those on cool pages are just too new, and need some time to prove their worth to highest rated? | 2009-07-25 16:47:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
