LBP PSP Find

Archive: 2 posts

So, I flew into San Diego and stopped by ComicCon and played the Alpha build of LBP PSP they had there today for promotional purposes. I spent most of the time exploring the build rather than playing it, I must be honest. Looking at all the new stickers (there seemed to be about 100 new stickers in the sticker-menu not in the main game - that's a very rough estimate though, I did no actual counting) and so forth.

Anyways, here's the reason why I'm posting this. This may simply be related to the fact that it's an Alpha build, but I thought I'd bring it up.

While in the game's play-mode, I began using the decoration tool to de-sticker objects to see how they were put together. I started doing this about a third of the way through level 1-1, immediately working backwards. So I get closer to the beginning of the level, de-sticker a giant bobbing-toad, move on, de-sticker the character at the very beginning, and then start to move forward again.

Here's where I noticed something odd. When I returned to the toad, he was once again fully stickered. I moved farther forward, and found that all of the objects I had removed stickers from were re-stickered.

Now it's an Alpha build, and even if it were a Beta it isn't something that would worry me, but I do find it interesting that the build available didn't seem to remember certain changes I had made in the middle of playmode when areas were left.

Also, I don't know how many if any of the LBP PSP stickers will be unlocked on the PS3 when you get the game, but the new stickers in the PSP version seem to be very "usably generic". What appeared to be the top of a wooden barrel, for instance.

Anways, just what I noticed playing around with the Alpha LBP PSP.

Interesting find, though I think this is only a temporary glitch which will be filtered out once the game releases.2009-07-25 04:07:00
