Close to four hours ago, the Dissidia demo was released. I've already played it tonnes of times in full version Japanese, but to hear the English voiceovers of a bunch of characters is really nice. I highly recommend this demo if you like 3-dimensional fighting games (not sidescrolling) and especially if you've played any of the Final Fantasys from 1 to 11. (12 is a secret character in the full version My rating of the demo is 9.5/10, as it has more than you'd expect in a fighting game demo. Go try it out, it's free on the PSN!

I've been waiting for this game since it was first announced in Japan. Now that I can finally play the demo, I see that it's just what I expected it would be. I'll be playing it a lot while waiting for the game. There's opponents in the demo you can't play as.

Many characters (or all of them), however, can be fought at random chance. Bartz may be one of them, but I haven't seen him yet. You can at least see his attacks be put on you, haha.

It's not on the UK store. I just downloaded a demo called 'Crystal Defenders' which it says in the description is Final Fantasy based so I thought that was it but with a different name for Europe but I just played it and it's not a 3D fighting game. This one is more of a sim where you place your characters on a map to defend against hordes of enemies and then hit play and it all plays out itself. Bit difficult to explain , you have to see it really. It's quite interesting but the graphics are 'old-skool' like the very early FF games which I'm not a fan of.

It sounds like a FF Tactics system. Didn't really like that. However, other sprited (or how some say "old-skool") FF games, mainly FF 1-6 were the best. 13 may change that, though. And FF6 is the best of em all. I've cosplayed as Locke twice. :3

Only a couple of days left before the game is finally released! Is anyone else super stoked right now? I've heard that the A.I. is a little better than in the Japanese version. I've been playing the demo nonstop these past few weeks. I can practically beat the Hard mode blindfolded with most characters now lol. :hero:
